Been a real bug bear of mine this playing out from the back. OK for the likes of Real Madrid and Man City. Even City struggled on Saturday against an effective press. But us, really, with the goalie and defenders we have.

All fine and well if you have better players who can do this in the league you are in, but clearly we didn't. Watched most of last season through my hands.

An average manager would have recognised we couldn't do it.

That striker for Olympiakos basically got them to the final, but he's been really poor tonight, a bit lethargic and slow to react when a chance comes his way. Completely different player from the one who got them to the final IMO. I've not watched the whole game though.

Quite a character, cv of an ultimate journeyman manager. Basically the Spanish Jim Duffy up until a few seasons ago. Sevilla fans were not happy at all when he was appointed. Seems like a decent guy though and glad he is getting the plaudits he deserves.

I walked into stadium with a Panathinaikos top on. Didn't realise the hatred, I was met with the slit throat gestures.
Dearest game of football I had ever been to. Went the week b4 when it got cancelled for September 11th then returned the following week 🙄
