He’s losing again - much better fight but Catterell just seems to have Josh’s number

Much better from Josh there - he’s won the last 3 rounds

Nah he lost in again in the early rounds - better fighter won and justice for a shocking decision last time. Josh needs his hunger back and less chat away from the ring.

Both fighters deserve credit. Enjoyed that. Justis for Catterall I guess. Trilogy on the cards. Money talks.

Josh would lose again easily - Catterill is by far the better fighter.

Boxing judges ruin another great night of boxing! WTF?
Josh boxed well tonight and maybe even done enough to win but the judging is beyond embarrassing!
Bob Arum called it right!
Nobody could have complained had it gone either way but this was another sad night for the sport of boxing!

Scores were embarrassing but Josh lost that fight again - he’s struggling now with that weight !

I thought Josh boxed on the front foot, usually that’s enough to win rounds but as I’ve said it could have gone either way. Very close fight but I don’t rate Jack tbh and I don’t see him being a world champion!

The scores were mental but he did lose. I don’t even think it’s the weight he is struggling with , I think age has caught up with him. I know he’s only what, 33, but his moment and reactions are nowhere near what they were..

Fair play to Tony bellew and Bob arum calling it out. Two wrongs don’t make a right
Josh won that fight

Catterall won that fight at best through my tartan tinted glasses you could get to a draw. I had it 7-5 Catterall

If you don't rate Jack what does that say for Taylor. The guy has fairly beat him twice.

World class pre covid... now nowhere near it now as Lopez showed. Haney or Lopez would take Catteralls head of although they wouldn't even fight him unless he got one of the other belts

Taylor no where near his best. Catterals a decent defensive boxer but i doubt he will win world titles.

He hasn’t beat him twice! That’s just not true!
What does it say about Taylor? He’s either passed his best or he played into Jack’s hands by taking the fight to him.
Tactical decisions probably needed changed at some point.
Taylor looked incapable of hurting Jack, so why not change things up.

He’ll be lucky to get a title shot. The top five in this division are all much better than him.
It’s all about pay days and another rematch with Taylor will probably be on the cards.
I don’t think I’d bother watching it if I’m honest.

I’ve already seen them two throw the kitchen sink at each other, I don’t think there will be much of an appetite outwith Josh’s support for a trilogy.
I could be wrong though?

I think Catterall is the kind of boxer who will never really look brilliant but will cause a lot of people problems because of how awkward he is.
You can see when he has to be the aggressor he struggles a wee bit but because defensively he presents such a small target and because that jab and left hand counter are both razor sharp he'll make good fighters toil if he fails to engage and waits for them to come forward and he can pick them off when they make a mistake.
Of course you will get fighters who just refuse to do that, particularly in a world title fight. You really have to win a belt and if he just wants to counter punch the champions will be smart enough just to hold him off with the jab and force him to try and be the aggressor, that is where he will struggle. You heard Taylor's corner telling him that last night a lot. 'Stop planting your feet', 'if it's not on move away and have another look', 'Stop moving in straight lines and giving him a target'. When he listened Taylor was able to land a couple to the body then avoid the counter, when he didn't listen (or has slowed to the extent he can't do it) he was caught repeatedly and as I said on the other thread those single and double shots were eye catching and stole Catterall rounds.
Hearn looks after at least one of the 140lbs champions so I reckon JC will fight for a world title. Whether he is good enough to win won is very much up for debate.

I know very little about boxing but I thought similar. Enjoyed Taylor’s comeback in the second half but thought JC had probably done enough early-on and then nicked what he needed to latterly to see him over the line.
Not a big boxing fan and rarely watch it - but that’s as entertained as I’ve been watching a fight in a long, long time.
Just a shame Taylor couldn’t quite do enough.

I was at both fights.
I agree, it’s done, time for both of them to move on.
