I don’t think he is very well presently. Fingers cross a speedy recovery but football management is not what he needs on his recovery

I think he's developed into a right good manager over the years. I've not really heard anyone speak badly of him, even when it hasn't worked out. Can't believe he's 60. Time flies.

I don't think he'd come back to Scotland now though.

20 years since he joined us and gave us a superb couple of seasons.

Hope he recovers soon

Doesn’t sound like he’s will be fit for management any time soon. He would certainly be welcome if he wanted it though.

There is no time frame for his recovery and he said in the article he intends to return to football. I think we could do worse than at least explore the possibility of a return. SDG could Step in as interim

With respect, I don't think he'd have any interest in coming to us even if he was fully healthy.

I enjoyed the Mowbray era as much as anyone but we need to accept the fact that it's distant history and we need to be finding the next Mowbray.

The gig right now is also a bit more similar to the one Williamson inherited (bloated squad that needed trimmed) than the one Mowbray inherited (best squad of young players in a generation).

I hope he takes all the time he needs to get back to full health and doesn't feel the need to rush back.

I think he might have more important things to deal with right now.

I would hope, for the sake of his health and wellbeing, that football is the very last thing on his mind.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

“Anyone reckon this guy who’s just quit his last club and is recuperating from major surgery could come and do the job for us and straight away start rebuilding our team?”
