Oh good. Here's some stuff for you to concentrate on Willie.

Why are the vast majority of Scotland's grade 1 refs continually drawn from the same small geographical area?

Why are our refs so poor that they are continually overlooked by both UEFA and FIFA for international tournaments?

Would you allow a ref who had been a Rangers shareholder to ref this weekend's Scottish Cup final? Asking for Craig Thomson.

He's probably the best of a bad bunch that we have. Apparently he beat a number of applicants from further afield. Can't help but think an outsider might have been good to bring in.

You have to be joking, but then again it is Scotland.
Sad state our game is, and has been for so many years, why do we keep going?

Fantastic post.

And you'll notice that it's the same wee WOS clique of about 4 or 5 of them that get used week in week out for games involving Celtic and the Huns.

You honestly think they’d let an outsider in ?! 😅 If only !

The only good thing about this appointment is how much upset it will cause in Sevconia.

That was my thinking. Finally got their wish that he'll never referee another The Rangers game but the caveat is he is now head of all referees :greengrin

Also that we will never have him ref us again - not that any of the others are any better mind you

To be clear, are you suggesting that Thomson held shares in hearts?

Based on that final either he had an investment in Hearts or Romanov had an investment in Thomson.

And to get the thread back on track, Collum was the fourth official and said into his microphone that Black's assault on Griffiths was a red card.

Can’t answer for the poster you quoted but I know an official (not Thomson) that was appointed to a cup final involving Hearts that was an ex-Hearts shareholder. The “ex” part being that he transferred them over to his wife upon becoming an official as per the rules.

Also, I mentioned this on the match thread last night but last night’s referee is the referee referenced in this thread here:

https://www.hibs.net/showthread.php?364794-Spl-referees

His Facebook looks to be deleted now but was full of anti-Hibs references
