He would certainly be a high profile manager that has plenty of experience if we could get him though I don't know if that's a possibility or not . How would you all feel about him if he was a candidate for our job ?

Would be fairly happy with that.
McInnes is my first choice and I’d be very surprised if anybody will change that. He just seems the closest thing to a sure thing.
Other than that though, I would be happy with Deila or Scott Parker. After that, I’m struggling for someone I’d be actively happy with off the top of my head.

One that’s been ‘linked’ with us in the past.
Perhaps more chance than what there was last time.
Definitely wouldn’t be against it.

He would also be Mr numero… one for me.
Hope we at least ask the question.

People maybe aren't aware but he has been successful since leaving celtic at clubs more like our good size, Club Brugge etc, and at clubs in a franchise structure ie New York City
Lots to like there

Does he have a regular coaching staff that he takes club to club?

He's one I think would be an exciting appointment , somebody like this I'd like to see us go for in being ambitious in going for a foreign manager with a good pedigree.
With Deila he's also got experience of our league too and a win rate of over 50% which hasn't dropped below 40% at any club he's been at too .
I'm sure there are other exciting foreign managers out there with plenty of experience that we could look at too though Deila certainly ticks most boxes for me if it was at all possible to get him .
First interview here when he joined New York city FC .

He won the MLS which is very impressive.
Only thing about him - wouldn’t expect him to stay long though.
He was sacked in last job as he was about 18 points behind other team.

I’d be very happy with Deila! Hope there’s a chance of it happening.

Could we afford him? I’m guessing he would demand a few bob.

Don’t see him being a MacKay type but if he’d be interested in coming I’d be throwing everything we can at him

Really? He made bloody hard work of it at Celtic, which is a much easier job than ours.

I don’t think that’s half bad, I also very much half of them were his signings. Scott Allan being the prime example.
Craig Gordon
Ryan Christie
Stuart Armstrong
Jason Denayer
Patrick Roberts
Jozo Simunovic
Eric Sviatchenko
Would surely all be looked upon after their Celtic careers are very decent signings?

It happens to managers at certain clubs just look at how Unai Emery struggled at Arsenal and was sacked.
He then went on to become Villarreal manager were he broke a club record of 18 matches unbeaten and went on to lead them to a European cup final (their first I think ) after beating former club Arsenal in the semi 2-1 on aggregate.
He's not doing too badly now either after sealing champions league football for Villa since god knows how long .
Delia's record is pretty impressive when you look at it and as done well at clubs similar to our own . He would be a really ambitious one if we could pull it off imo . Certainly hope we at least ask try too .

We met him over here in Puerto Banus on NY eve - could not have been more pleasant a guy - chatted to us for ages and it was evident he still has a lot of time for Scottish football- asked how a load of players in Scotland were getting on.

Thanks for that . My postman's just after telling me that somebody on twitter mentioned Ronnie Deila as a good bet for the hibs job ,he's stuck a few quid on it , told me he got 10/1 , I'd have thought you'd get better odds than that in fairness.

Wouldn't be my number one choice but wouldn't turn my nose up at it.

Try McBookie, they currently have SDG as favourite

I think they always make the caretaker favourite until the dust settles in case he ends up staying for 7 games which pays out.
Obviously that won’t be likely in this occasion but it’s why I suspect he’s in as the favourite.

Not sure why but I just have a feeling he'd be a disaster. If he's appointed hopefully I'm wrong with that.
