That will be to the forefront of the board’s minds.

Here’s how they looked on paper at the start:

Monty - high risk
Johnson - low risk
Ross - low
Maloney - high

The football/Hibs guy in me says it’s Ian Murray’s time to step up, but in the SPL he’d be considered high risk.

McInnes is the low risk option. It’s hard to see him coming here, but if he did we’d probably be 3/4 every year. We’d moan about the football, especially away, but the derbies with Hearts would be spicy as both clubs would be embedded challengers for Europa slots.

Lennon would be low risk for nine months and we’d all be fired up. Then he reverts to the highest possible risk and we know how it ends. Love him, but forget him, won’t happen.

I think it could be someone most of us have never heard of again.

Pretty much - I am prepared for anything.

I would love to see Ian Murray come in and take us to 3rd and a cup win and European runs but if it wasn't to work out would end in tears.

McInnes may seem the safe option but I agree with comments re plastic pitches creating a home advantage.

I'm not gonna say who it should be as I don't have the network of contacts and options I hope whoever is choosing has.

That's always a worry when you're desperate for someone to arrive with the assurance that they have the experience we desperately need. If we've never heard of them, how experienced will they be?

On the other hand the most important thing is to get the right guy. If the club's leadership or its professional advisers know what they're doing then they go after the right candidate whether we've heard of them or not.

This would have been a really good time to be able to have total confidence in who and how the club is led...

I've said before it should be Murray but we have to give him time. A minimum of 18 months

There will be ups and down along the way but little steps, with a little progress, is what will stop this decline.

Fans have to be patient, otherwise we just go round and round getting nowhere
