What an incredible display across the UK tonight. Never seen it so clear, so easily!

Gutted that I missed it. I’ve only ever seen it once before in Canada if it was pretty faint. What’s the science behind why it was so visible
and why wasn’t it predicted to happen.

Looks like it will be less of a display. 10:30 to 00:30 being the best time for tonight at the moment but it can change.

My best ever view was over 40 years ago, been to see hibs at pittodrie and was heading back to pitlochry. Going past forfar and I just stopped and got out of the car and was astonished at what I was watching. Never seen it as clear since.
