Zero chance that will happen.

Can't see that, but I think some West Ham fans might regret treating him so badly. His recent record has been very successful.

Would be a giant statement of intent though.
Foley wants European football….
He's here!

They've struggled since the turn of the year but overall he's done an outstanding job there. They'll struggle to improve on what he brought them and may regret ditching him.
No way he'd take such a big step down to manage in Scotland, apart from perhaps Celtic. Think he may end up back at Everton.
I could maybe see him taking the Scotland international job tho.

I don't know. Could imagine he might relish a fresh environment rather than more of the same in England. What's his family situation? Would that potentially benefit from a move up here?
Money would have to be top drawer.

There is absolutely zero chance of Moyes coming to Hibs.

Very much this, he's rumoured to be on £4m per year just now.

What do West Ham fans really expect from their next manager? He’s been treated shockingly by this new generation of vocal Twitter ‘supporters’ (that every side seems to have) from far and wide who think their respective teams should play like Man City and steamroller teams every weekend. It’s mental

Was waiting for that tbf!
Though I don’t think it’s unrealistic for us to be in with a shout for 3rd most years. West Ham however are probably around where they should be when you take into account the so called big six, Saudi money at Newcastle etc

Agree. That’s the situation in England where Arab and American money has totally skewed the game into the haves and have nots. Maybe they will have to bring in a draft system to correct the balance. Either that or put a wages cap on the players.

Believe a wages cap has or is about to be voted through. However it will be based on a % of income/turnover so it will actually favour the bigger teams even more over the smaller clubs.
The gap is only going to get wider.

I might be wrong but I thought it was based on the income/turnover of the least wealthy club in the league. I’m sure they said something like that?

That's incorrect, its designed to level the playing field and that's why 3 of the top 4 voted against it.

I’d be very surprised if this is what Foley would spend money on (not that Moyes would come here anyway).
I think we’re much more likely to either see a manager from ‘lower’ down the group come in, or a highly rated coach move ‘down’ - just as with players, if we can ‘develop’ a future Lorient or even Bournemouth manager, that’s ideal. Spending a fortune on an old, known quantity doesn’t do that, in the same way that letting us spend a hefty transfer fee on a 32 year old striker wouldn’t.

It would be 5 times the income of the club that made the least or something that effect. The Athletic reckoned only Chelsea exceeded that, but weren’t certain.
It’s more a move, ahead of expanded World Club Cups etc to stop the top sides getting even further ahead, it will do nothing to rein them in.

So basically you need the least wealthy club to be as wealthy as possible.
Could conceivably have a play off final, say Leeds v Luton for example, where it would be in many peoples interest for Leeds to win the tie.

I remember thinking this when Jack Ross was under constant attack. Look at us now.

We’ve got super Lopetegui, he knows exactly what we need. Quite catchy 😂
