For me the best permanent signings we’ve made in the last five years have been Nisbet, Gogic, Paul McGinn, Cadden, and Obita. All but one of those were signed at a time when we were challengers for third in the league IIRC and that tells you a story as none of them were hugely expensive at all.


We need to go back to that, if we’re just going to throw even more money on the skip fire that is our first team then we may as well give up and prepare for relegation.

Signing a solid, effective spine to the team would be “lacking ambition” whereas signing lower league dross like Vente and Melkersen is seen as exciting and you still have people sticking up for them despite the two of them in their respective Hibs careers having offered the square root of nothing.

One Simon Murray, Alex Gogic, or dare I say it Blair Spittal is worth ten of whoever the dream team of Ian Gordon and Kensell could spend a fortune on.

Shows the complete and utter disconnect between the team and support caused by the Gordon’s decision making, BK bring engrossed in off field stuff, the massive amount of loan players who have zero connections with the club in all honesty, and a few senior pros willing to just get by and no more and accept runs of win, draw, lose, draw, lose, win (and repeat).

The difference in feeling between 2017/18 and now is as drastic as it is dejecting. That’s a whole club problem.

In any walk of life to be successful you need good people. Right through the club we have incompetent people. From Ian Gordon and Kensell at the top, through to our management (Montgomery), down to the likes of Bushiri and Jair. All proven failures at our club. Losing late goals, the league position, even the amount of losses the club has made over the last couple of years. Some people point to the fact we are debt free, but this has come at a cost with the deal The Gordons and Kensell have done with the Black Knights.

You are right, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better due to the road Ian Gordon and Kensell have taken the club down with the Black Knights.

We are now part of a pyramid, where we will fit in with an overall plan and not a stand alone club in control of it's own destiny. Fine we have been crap in the past, but at least we found a way back.

The people mentioned and there are others, are tarnishing our club.

It's going to be a long way back from here.

The match day thread saw the 2nd county goal coming a mile off and then 2 make baffling substitutions in the 91st minute just smacks of desperation with no plan.
