Hibs First membership renewals now open. Prices frozen at £50 per membership and same benefits as last year. 👍

Renewed.

With no European football, it’s basically a guarantee your ticket for Tynecastle for £50.

Despite missing out on one game this season at Tynecastle, I’ll still just take my chances in the ST sale.

There seems little enthusiasm for loyalty schemes from the club, and some have highlighted the challenges of running one when clubs sell direct for away allocations now, coupled with the fact that the dissatisfaction of not having one only really presents itself at Tynecastle derbies. It is what it is, and looks like it’s here to stay.

I am happy to renew, but I’m totally against this type of thing. We need a loyalty point scheme. There are clesrly people within this membership who do not go to as many games as some people without the membership.

It needs to be monitored/regulated to ensure if you are on the scheme you are purchasing tickets and attending. Although I can’t say I’ll lose sleep at night, it’s not really fair imo that someone who attends 95% of games who is not on this scheme gets put into a few thousand free for all for popular games, particularly when within this membership when people are not attending regularly. I could be wrong but I don’t think anyone will have lost entitlement to this scheme this year.

Are they increasing numbers? Are they inviting more people in?

Not exactly frozen. It was only £30 last season for original members of the AST scheme. Its a 66% increase for the 300 odd who have been in the scheme since the very beginning

Number is restricted to 500. Used to be 350. Then the shift to Hibs monetising it (to pay for the salary of a ticket office staff member I guess) saw the increase of capacity but they've no intention of further increases. Any increase would mean no guarantee that you'll always get a ticket. Allocation at Mordor etc not hugely more than the membership cap. Some smaller grounds - like Dumbarton in the cup if it happened- would be close to the limit.

The original AST was based on loyalty points accrued in the seasons prior to initiation.

It's still a really good deal for £50, despite no Euro matches this season.

I guess it will go up for 25-26 though if all goes well next season.

This year its been vital for I would say 5 games.

Luzern away, Villa away, Twice at Tynie and once at Ibrox.

The latter Ibrox game we had tickets left and I think there were tickets left for the Celtic Park trip.

Next season, depending on how pish we are, there is the possibility of only one derby at Tynie and that could be the only game it was actually neccessary for...

Worth remembering that as well as the ticket priority, you get the end of season event which we’ve seen the club easily charge £40-50 for a 2 course meal with player q&a before. Then you get 4 copies of the HQ magazine which is £5 a pop. Tbf it’s a good quality magazine

The reason it’s impossible to track how many games are attended is due to the number of clubs that sell directly to the fans now.

Was this fully subscribed last season?

If so what are the chances of it opening up to new members this year?

No point in it if they can’t/don’t track it - otherwise folk pay £50 to guarantee derby tickets.

Never had it this season and the only game i missed was the 1-1
at the PBS. Luzern away and Villa away was tricky but managed just.
Might get it this season if there is a chance to join but would prefer a loyalty points system.

Have to admit Villa away was a real struggle. Managed it by sheer luck alone.

Not really the point but I was willing to pay more than the £50 fee for Hibs First above the Villa ticket prices so it has made me consider it going forward.
