Have there been any updates on JDH?
The forgotten man, mair injured than a Kyle Magennis on crutches…suddenly popped into my head this after when B7 bizarrely changed the Odegaarde song to be about JDH…
Maybe missed an update?
On a similar note…Is McKirdy back up the road, too? Sure I drove past him yesterday

McKirdy is here, because he’s injured

Real pity about JDH . Must be tough for him being out for so long . He missed very few games for us or St Mirren before the injury so don`t think it`s fair to label him as permanently injured . I rate him and if he can get over injury this summer he could be an important player for us next season .

Even when fit JDH was hit or miss. If we could get his mates over from Ireland every week then he would be outstanding. Unfortunately I think he is another one who could have been good but came to nothing.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see him play for us again, prob best he moves on come the summer

Nice tidy footballer when he puts his mind to it
Likes to leave his foot in loves a yellow and finds himself walking a tightrope until inevitably hooked
Needs to address his attitude ( needs to channel his aggression), discipline and consistency and as another poster pointed out needs his mates at every game
Not fussed if he stays or goes tbh maybes Monty or someone else can get more out of him

Would rather he left in the summer. We need better.

I disagree, he is not good enough for Hibs, gave us one performance when his mates were over and mostly absent in games.

A fit JDH is not good enough, let alone one coming back from a long term injury. Another contract handed out by Hibs for little merit.

At no point this season has anyone said “we missed JDH today”. That says it all. I think he’s on a decent wedge too.
He's had an ankle injury which he's been to a specialist to see about it. Met him a couple if times and seems a likable lad but he's a bottom 6 premier player and we need better.

On his day Doyle-Hayes is a good player but those days are far too infrequent so he's one I'd hope will get an opportunity in the summer to play more regularly elsewhere.

The sad reality in football is that you can quickly become the forgotten man if you are out for an extended period of time. He has a year left on his contract and he has managed a solitary league appearance for us this season. Would you put money on him being a priority to extend?
We've also started to shape a midfield without him. We have brought in Moriah Welsh and Amos and I'd be stunned if we don't add at least one further central midfielder in the close season. Realistically where does he now sit in the pecking order?
He is a decent player but is he a guy you are pinning your hopes on to challenge for top 3 or 4? Would he even displace Newell or Moriah Welsh in our current bottom 6 midfield?
A real shame for the guy but I think his time at Hibs is all but over. If he gets fit he'll do fine elsewhere though.

Just the type of player we need in a 25 man squad if we are looking at top 4 regularly. Sadly he's never fit therefore might have to cut our loses by moving him on.

A fit JDH wouldn't get a game in our current midfield. We need upgrades alongside Joe and Moriah Welsh.

Even if he was 100% fit he shouldn’t be getting a game.
Doesn’t offer enough of anything to justify a place in the team.

The biggest issue I've had with JDH is I don't know what his best role in a midfield actually is still?
He's not creative enough to be allowed to roam forward, he's aggressive in a tackle but not good enough at tackling to be a defensive midfielder. The best I can really say is he's a bit of a poor mans McGeouch in that he's a recycler of the ball. But even then he leaves a lot to be desired at that.
I think it would be for the best if he found somewhere else to play next season.
