I heard that earlier on the radio and didn't believe it.
Got home and checked it, it is correct.
5 league matches, two European games and the Scottish Cup quarter final

Is there not enough kicking of the club going on at the moment?
That includes the draw with celtic and 2 games against Benfica remember.

It's right aye. I mean they played Benfica twice and Celtic in those eight games. Motherwell and Ross County managed to beat them though and we haven't really been close to that in a wee while.

I’m sure Montgomery made a comment after our last game with them about them being the best team in the league.
Interesting.

Given the pumpings we’ve had from them I wouldn’t expect him to say anything else.

They do tend to play better against us than Celtic do tbf - we’ve probably given Celtic more problems than Rangers during Monty’s time with us.

I thought they were as well awhile back . Remember saying to another Hibs fan here when we got Sevco in the cup quarter final I'd rather have got Celtic and he agreed .

I’ve actually thought that these have been awful Rangers and Celtic teams - by their recent standards.
Celtic have been miles off what they were under Postecoglu and Rangers are absolutely brilliant at whipping up media hype.
Celtic still have more star quality in their side and Rangers are a collection of ordinary players with 2 or 3 who are actually quite poor.
The standard of league really hasn’t been great for a few years.
It’s been a pretty grim Hibs team - just makes you wonder what might have been possible if we’d had one of our better sides this season.
We’ll get better teams than this one and we’ll probably be even further behind Rangers and Celtic, neither of whom I expect to be this poor for long.

Funny stat as Rangers are chucking away the league but not really very insightful in terms of analysing our recent woes

I agree that they are probably poorer than some teams they had in the past . I dreaded when we were going to play Anges team as there was always a chance of them giving you a right doing.
In saying that though I do think there's merit to what Monty said as it looked at one point sevco was better than Celtic . It was all lawwell's fault and Rodgers must go awhile back over here . Now everythings hunky dory again .
Things change quickly in football . Hopefully they do for us next season too.🤞

It's one of those things that is and isn't relevant. Over the course of a season you aren't going to be judged on results against Rangers.
Our recent record is dire though, an anomaly even among a record that is historically pretty poor. Plenty people have suggested during that run that we shouldn't have any expectations of taking points from Rangers because both they and Celtic are in a league of their own. It probably becomes somewhat relevant when Dundee, Ross County and Motherwell all take points from them in a short space of time. Moreso when we didn't really lay a glove on them in either of the games against them during that period when they were toiling a wee bit domestically.
Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Dundee, Ross County, Motherwell and Celtic have all taken points from them this season. I'm not convinced we shouldn't expect to get at least a couple from them over the course of the season too.

I’ve just never really seen it with “this” Rangers.
They’re all hype and the fawning over them at times is ridiculous.
Their RB is an absolute liability, has been for years and gets away with it because he plays for a team who have a great need for a reliable penalty taker.
Dessers is absolute guff.
Silva is decent and I think Cantwell is a real handful of a player. For the budget they’ve got, the rest of their players are very ordinary, and the favourable refereeing decisions and media coverage they get paper over loads of cracks - and imo actually acts to prevent them putting a decent side together.
They’re reaching an interesting point in their manager cycle where “walks on water” turns to “needs to get his own players in” before being out of a job when he falls miles behind Celtic by October.
He's here!

To be fair to Clement he's probably exceeded expectations with a trophy in the bag and until this week looking like he could win the title with, as you say, a squad that didn't look up to much when he took over in November.
Just have to hope it's 3 wins from 9 come Sunday. Naismith sounds very confident Hearts will beat them who.

I've no doubt that they will put the Gorgie tramps in their place on Sunday. The minis have never won against their big brothers at Hampden.
