Anyone got any idea why cars are now driving up Morrison Street from Torphican Place towards the Conference Centre ?
Its been one way towards Haymarket as long as I can remember but coming home this evening I saw there’s a lane and arrows pointing into town.
Accidents waiting to happen.

There's been a fair bit information flying about the usual council social media channels, it had to be done to accommodate the implementation of the LEZ.
If not, some vehicles would be forced in to the LEZ due to the one-way nature of the road, the latest works allow unwitting drivers an exit.
Accidents waiting to happen.
If folk pay attention it'll be fine.

I don’t think it’s that.
The LEZ does not start until Lothian Road and there’s access up Torphican Street and Dewar place.

unless of course the Council folk can’t read a map.

Right, allowing traffic to turn right coming off the Morrison Link makes sense as they have been going round through 3 sets of lights to get into town. :aok:

I must be concentrating on the road too much :faf:
I've spotted the new road markings and been thinking "that's too late to change direction "
Never noticed any earlier signs telling me I'm approaching the zone.. despite them being up for a bit... gonna pay more attention to "not the road" on my way to work later in the week!

Just drove down from Tollcross this afternoon, at least 2 cars were in the wrong side of the road approaching Torphichen street junction!!!
You would think that the white arrow on the road might be a bit of a giveaway.

I've seen it a good few times when turning right from Torphichen St, accident waiting to happen.
