Anyone listening to anything good or got any recommendations. Do prefer football based listening but willing to branch out.

Have listened to a couple SAF ones, Martin O’Neill self narrated audiobook was great as I find him quite knowledgable and easy to listen to. Have also listened to Kevin bridges audiobook which was great.

As I grew up "following" (watching) United in the 90s I've been leaning towards them in my search for online listening. Stick to football is great,dynamic between the guys works well imo. But a really enjoyable audiobook was the story of the 99 treble. Again though my leanings probably edged me towards it.

If you’re an Alan Partridge fan then his audiobooks, narrated by Steve Coogan as Partridge, are brilliant.

A podcast I enjoyed is Wind of Change, about the theory that the CIA were behind the Scorpions song. It features some great stories.

Fantastic listening Trinity. Quite the insight in to the state of the club overall. Players refusing to be captain and then asking which players didn't fancy playing for him at half time in his last game.

Worth a listen for anyone interested

Top Flight Time Machine is excellent, very loosely football based, and really funny.

I've been listening to The Rest Is Politics, which is decent, and Bring on the Guillotine with Frankie Boyle and Susie McCabe and a guy whose name I can't remember. Can't make my mind up if I really like it though, only a few episodes in.

If you are interested in the law and trials, The storyteller: Naked Villainy is a very good podcast. I never do patreon but this is one I'd recommend you pay for the extra episodes but it's not necessary. There's a few cases on it but the murder of Brenda Paige is the latest one.

The rest is entertainment is good.

The trial of Lucy letby is harrowing but worth listening to.

I’ve just finished listening to Fever Pitch on audiobook. I’m a wee bit behind the curve with this one but it was really excellent, quite scary how much I could relate to and probably how ridiculous I am and most of us are as football fans.

Any other recommendations for audiobooks like this? I really enjoy sports autobiography’s but they can become a bit samey some times so would quite like something similar to Fever Pitch. If anyone has any suggestions they’d be appreciated.

If I'd realised it was James Holland I'd have been on it sooner. He's superb and I've read loads of his work.

I don't know if there's an audio book of it but open by Andre agassi is the gold standard for sports biographies.

There is, I saw it the other day.

I read it previously and really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend, even for the non tennis fans among us.

JR Moehringer who helped him write it has a book called "the tender bar" I'd recommend that as well (again, don't know if there is an audiobook)

'The Far Corner' and 'The Farther Corner' by Harry Pearson are both excellent. Tales of travelling round north east England going to league and non-league football first in the mid-90s then in the late 2010s in the 2nd book. Very funny, worth a read.

I love the Strike series, there are currently 7 books available, book 8 comes out later this year and there’s supposed to be 10 in total. The TV series is well worth watching as well. There’s 6 series available on iPlayer.

The Amateurs by John Niven is brilliant as an audiobook! I got it from an old book recommendation post on here and those who suggested it were spot on. Tourette’s plays a big part so it’s better as an audio.

You will laugh out loud tho!

I started Mark Manson's 'The Subtle Art of not Giving a F***' yesterday and I've been enjoying it.

It’s a guy ( from Edinburgh I think) and Beatles experts who dissect and discuss the music, lyrics and influences of a different Beatles track each time. So far they’ve done Please Please Me, Here Comes The Sun, Help, Lady Madonna, She Loves You, Yellow Submarine and Penny Lane. It’s very good and easy listening.

I’ve started listening to this, and it’s excellent.

When I clicked to listen to the first episode on Spotify I’m pretty sure the only review that’s been left is from one of my old flat mates from my time in Dundee - who I used to spend hours with, listening to the Beatles and playing the best computer games of 1999.
