It is awful news. Haven’t seen him since Covid, but would chat to him at his car pre match
Sad news, rest in peace Freddie. Didn't know him but he seemed like a good guy. Couldn't understand the grief he was given on here about transfer gossip.

One of lifes good guys. Never let his condition dull his mood and was always fighting for his young family.
Taken way too soon.
RIP mate - to the angels high above
Same view as others here. Loved his scoops as The Cat and had a few DM exchanges on Twitter - came over as a good guy and always had a positive outlook even when in hospital. RIP and big condolences to his family.

Very sad news. A lovely lad, this place was never the same once he left for me. Always positive and full of good gossip. His Hibs goals twitter feed will be missed. Optimistic and brave til the end. RIP Cat 123

Seen this posted on twitter via one of Freddies close pals
Minutes applause
Can we all come together
In the 23rd minute. A minutes applause for fellow Hibs fan Freddie white (45) who passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by all his family. Freddie who suffered from cystic fibrosis would regularly attend Easter Road with his son Mason, partner Michelle and Dad Freddy.

Very sad to hear this. Didn't know Freddie outside of here but this place was all the better for his contributions and I enjoyed reading his posts over the years. Was very much in the know with what was going on in the transfer market I remember. Condolences to friends and family. RIP Cat

I had the absolute pleasure of starting the same day at Liberton as Freddy and having a good friendship there with his best mate Darren. Absolutely gutted to learn this today. RIP Freddy.

Very sorry to hear that news. He was a good poster, one I looked forward to seeing put something in. There was a young man in my daughters class that had a terminal disease Massive Gers fan. Freddy arranged a pair of signed boots from his mate Kenny Miller, who visited Jak in the hospital. Top guy. Condoka ces to his family.

Was gutted to find out. Last time i spoke to Freddie he had mentioned it wasn't good so when i realised he'd been inactive online for a bit i feared the worst.
One of the good guys. Rest in peace Freddie.

Doesn’t know him personally but enjoyed interacting. In the know, yes, but also always balanced. On those toxic weekends when a defeat brings out all the worst responses you could rely on him to restore some balance and good sense. RIP and all good wishes to his family.

Knew him since i was a kid, grew up in the same area, went to school with him.
Sort of moved in the same circles, drink in the same boozer etc.
Fought CF with everything he had.
He was a lovely, lovely bloke.
I had'nt seen him in years, but used to DM Hibs chat on twitter regulary.
Still a young man, with a young family.
I know a few of his family, and im gutted for them, especially his wife and son.
Sad loss.
RIP Freddie.

Such sad news, knew he'd been in hospital, but this has been a shock, followed him on twitter and replied to his posts. RIP Freddie, condolences to his family 💚
Such sad news and far too young, spoke to him on many occasions and knew of his illness a while ago. I don't do twitter(x) anymore so I hadn't heard from him in a while. R.I.P Freddie. 😪

Aye, that's who he got my Scotland tickets from.
It is tragic to lose someone so young.
So many good things being said about the person I only knew as "the Cat" from here, he was clearly very popular and touched a lot of people.
I used to look forward to his posts and the information he would share with us all.
Deep condolences to Freddie's family and many friends, particular to his wife and child.
God Bless

Sorry to hear that. When I first joined here he was a very prominent poster, remember The Cat well. I always thought any gossip was better than none so never knew why he got such a hard time when his ‘insider info’ actually never transpired.
Another good hibby gone. RIP
