I like Cadden but he's not ready to start another game midweek. Truth be told wasn't ready to start tonight. Thought he looked every bit like a player who hadn't played much for nearly a year which is understandable. Obviously with Miller out we were pushed into it otherwise there's no way the plan would have been for him to be starting tonight. Give him midweeek off and more minutes v Livi.

I have the rose tinted specs on with Tavares admittedly, but I think there's a player there. His spell in the team after Monty first came in I thought he looked really promising and offered lots going down the left. I think defensively he offers way more than Youan who I'd keep as a sub for Le Fondre when the legs start to tire.

Ah ok, wasn’t sure if it was directly transferable to the next couple of Cinch games or if it would be next seasons cup game.

In that case I’d be inclined to stick with Triantis away to County. Conditions, fight and aerial threat make me think he’d maybe be a better fit.

Correct. For all the green shoots of recovery we need a sustained period of wins against teams we really should be beating. He has the new players, we have reasonable momentum, it's time to deliver.

Win both games and we’ll be in the mix. First one is a game and hand and then Killie play St Mirren at the weekend so one or both have to drop points. We’re capable of dropping points to anyone so it’s not a given but you can’t ask for a better opportunity than we have this week to close the gap on the teams above.

Serious foul play and violent conduct come under the same offence rules on suspensions. The next game no matter what it is and then the next game in the comp the offence took place. So Wednesday and next S Cup game.

Fair enough then.

I'm not expecting an appeal for three clear reasons.

1. Other similar appeals have failed.

2. NWH was out of control (running in fast with both feet off the ground). He only has himself to blame and let the team down at a critical point in the game.

3. Finally and more importantly, it was against Rangers and there is no point.

It would purely be on a point of principal Hibs would appeal, but it would be naive and and a waste of money to do so.

Hibs should just move on from this and fully concentrate on tomorrow nights game.
