Steven McLean.
Hope he referees like the Cup final rather than he has since.
VAR is Steven Kirkland whoever he is.

Not so sure. Genuinely hasn't given us a decision since 2016 :greengrin
Think he went on some reprogramming training after the final.

Think he was heavily reprimanded after that game.

Agreed. Had some shockers at Easter Road including letting Aberdeen players away with murder. Was even worse in sending Youan off for nothing at Celtic Park last season.:cb

Doesn't really make a difference; we won't be allowed to win this game.

Och, McLean is alright.
McLean is brutal, in fact one of the worst referees.

A referee who's brother was in Rangers youth system for years, and then played for us. In any other country that would be enough. Not here.

well he is a Gers fan. He’s a physio in his day job and one of my
mates has had treatment from him.

I know I’ve raised on a few threads but I’d be curious.
What if we did a Nottingham Forest and got a Clattenburg type figure to fight in our corner?
Wonder what that would look like.
I’ve not read the finer details of their Liverpool saga but surely if you want to disrupt the status quo you have to try something different. What would that look like?

It would look like a fine for Hibs for bringing the game into disrepute.

Referees have been doing that for years in this country.

Sadly, I agree with this.
Thought VAR would eradicate any advantage the Hun get in games such as this, but there is loads of evidence already this season this has not been the case.
Every marginal offside line, penalty decision or sending off will go the way of the Hun. VAR will make sure of this, even if McLean gives a key decision to us.

A further layer of protection for a team already guaranteed almost every decision in their favour to start with.
