Hibernian FC’s Under-18s side will take Kilmarnock in their latest U18 CAS Elite Youth League fixture on Tuesday.
The game will take place on 27 February, 2024, kicking off at 7.30pm at Rugby Park.
In their last outing, our Under-18s were beaten 4-2 by Motherwell. Hibs forward, Jamie McMurdo scored a brace for Darren McGregor’s side but four goals in the second half from the home side meant the wee Hibees fell to their first defeat of 2024.
The young Hibees currently sit sixth in the league with 24 points from 18 games.
Opponents
Kilmarnock’s youngsters have been flying high this season and sit top of the U18 CAS Elite Youth League with 42 points from 19 games. They have only lost three games all season and are nine points ahead of second-placed Rangers.
In their last match, they beat Aberdeen 3-0 away from home, and are unbeaten in three matches; their last defeat was against Hearts in mid-January.
Previous Meeting
When the two sides met earlier this season, Killie ran out 3-0 winners at HTC against a very young Hibs side.
A goal in the opening 45 with a further two in the second was enough to give the visitors a comfortable victory against a youthful U18 Hibernian side.
