View Full Version : NHC Rosyth FC close down
East of Scotland club Rosyth FC cease operations immediately as they are unable to agree to propose relocation site. Sad day.

Sad to hear.
Our local side, Peebles Rovers, also play in East of Scotland and face a challenge with adhering to legislation that insists clubs require an enclosed ground which they don’t currently have.

Watched them a couple of times. Decent side and no surprise to see a few of their players snapped up at a comparable or higher level.
They have been treated pretty shoddily by those involved in the acquisition of the Rec ground and compounded by the issues with the move from Fleets to Pitreavie.
A shame as they were a friendly wee club.

The u20 development team have been forced out of the league they play in, because the first team don't exist any more. 20 odd guys with nothing to do on a Friday now.

They've been trying for ages to get this sort out, with little help from Fife Council or others, in the end money or the lack of it talks.
Also the other downside for clubs that have played Rosyth and won/drawn, they lose the points, Kirkcaldy and Dysart have lost 6 points.

It's been an absolute ****ing joke.
From what I gather, they were forcibly kicked out of their old stadium for a Lidl to be put there and have since been at a glorified training park. The council promised them a new stadium but didn't bother and now they're out of business.

And Lidl have now cancelled plans for a store.
