Hi all,
Whenever I’m down at Easter rd or watching live game from Easter Rd I can’t help looking at the TV outdoor studio facilities and think it looks pretty amateur and not befitting a club like ours at all ?.
surely and enclosed modern studio could be made instead of outdoors etc.
Even hearts have one ?
think it lets us down when the outside world looks at presenters freezing outside and no enclosed studio etc ?Club should be looking at this ?
anyone at Hibernian wish to comment on this ???
am I only person sees this .

Why should we pay and lose hospitality space for a tv channel that, let's be honest, couldn't care less about Hibs? If it was up to me I'd happily not even let them in the ground. They seem to broadcast fine from their own studio for a lot of games down south.

My hall cupboard is bigger than the Hearts one. You need a indoor TV studio to increase the stadium ranking. There is the areas in the south stand but can see why they would not be used.

Then they'll be able to gaslight our fans re-decisions and rip the piss in total comfort.

I’m not going to get worked up about TV pundits getting a great view of the game, getting paid to spout nonsense and who are generally unlikeable having to slum it for a bit.

I’d sit Chris Sutton on a seat made of hedgehog hide personally.

Get Sky to pay for the refurbishment of the north west corner on the promise they can have a lovely triple glazed studio to silence the filth coming out the weegie away support, instead of just ignoring it.

No chance we should fund something like that considering the disregard they should for the majority of Scottish football.

Of all the things to invest in… and on a day when we’ve announced investments in other key areas.

I can just visualise Vic Reeves stroking his chin.

Always thought the stadium announcer resided here. Sure it was built around the same time as the famous 5 stand? We used to call it the ‘Jimmy Boco House’! Had a wee set of steps and a door with a letterbox?! Demolished when the West Stand was built?

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing Sky had paid for Hearts one because it meant they would lose the use of a few seats immediately below it when in use.

It’s surely not beyond structural capabilities to erect an enclosed pop up studio on the existing site, and then is disassembled and taken to the next location.

They have to semi erect a half open studio with roof covering as it stands. Pretty sure they could do better at little expense.

Do they not have a studio in the South? Think Hibs TV was filmed from there during Covid

I don't think that's a proper studio, I think they set up as best they could in a hospitality box or something. I remember complaints at the time about it looking amateurish.

The plan is to build a link between the west and FF. Studio will be in there - along with ticket office etc.

I agree.

We should strive to provide the best in everything we're associated with whether that's the dressing rooms, the hospitality, the general food offering or the press facilities etc etc.

Forcing TV crews to sit in draughty, rundown shacks in order to mete out some sort of punishment for nasty things they might have said about us (accurate or not) is just childish and spiteful.

If we want to be taken seriously, we need to behave maturely and seriously.

No - common misconception apparently. Its all part of the infra investment from Foley.

Ah I see, tho I've seen buildings which have been listed getting demolished if they can persuade the local authorities it is the best interests of any development

No inside knowledge but I am hoping this will all be part of the presentation at the AGM. I do feel there has to be a hard sell that night to persuade people of the “advantages” of accepting the Foley investment. It’s pretty clear it will go through but the club does need to do some work to convince people, myself included, so they carry the supporters with them rather than treat us like customers or cash cows. I am expecting a presentation of major development and forward planning. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Yeh they have to be transparent in their plans to carry people forward, just announcing changes and people have to deal with it isn't the best way to get people onside...

We're on TV every week to some extent, Sky or not.

Maybe the facilities don't help attract the TV companies.

Covered links between kitchens and hospitality areas. They want to also link the shop with the ticket office. To encourage more foot fall.

Six million dollar question is will we ever look at a more professional studio akin to a club with big ambitions and wants to be seen as a big club !!
Rest my case even fans of other clubs commenting on how crap it looks on tv !!

Likely to be 4 by the end of the season plus the cup QF. We also had all 3 European ties on TV as well remember. Next season we’re likely to have 7 league games on TV. I think having something permanent is what Uefa look for as well and playing in europe every year is one of Foley’s aims so it would be useful for that too.

Steve are you parodying yourself with the reference?

Big club / wee club seems a bit out of the Jambo playbook - perhaps unintended oversight?

The structure that was up in the old NW corner could only have been there for 4 or 5 years before the main stand was knocked down

if the plan is to go for it with a new studio shop then that’s pretty cool. I’d hope hibs tv could use it too.

If only we had some commentators of the standard of Archie these days. Legend
TBF Archie was an absolute slaver but miles ahead of what we have today, Arthur Montford was a Legend though :not worth.
Arthur's commentary on the Scotland v Czechoslovakia 1973 WC qualifier still gives me goosebumps, there's a funny bit near the end with Denis Law racing clear and he's shouting c'mon Denis , c'mon Denis :faf: , they don't make them like that anymore.

There have been quite a number of threads recently where certain language or terms have been used.

It’s not about being big it’s about providing the best.

Yes we probably do need better facilities for live games at ER and it’s probably long overdue however we do have some of the best media facilities/positions in Scotland. Well at least they are dry when it rains and no risk of being electrocuted when it rains.
