The last time I was up we booked into lane 7 to play pool/table tennis and have a few beers. Kid friendly and around a 20 minute walk to the the stadium.

Been getting alright crowds up there for the past few years. I actually think the 2-0 up there last time was one of our lower crowds in recent times.

Cheers. If c900 are sold, an extra 100 or so on top of that this week would see it reasonably filled. Not a bad effort all things considered.

Aberdeen have provided paper tickets for all seats available in the away end (all sections - Q, R and P) for Hibs to fully manage the sale process.

Kieran I think some of us would be Interested to know how this benefits hibs? Especially as it creates so much hassle for people like myself who won't know until last minute if I can go (end up there 9 times out of 10) and don't stay in Edinburgh

But why do Hibs need to manage the process when digital tickets could just be made available, as they are for home supporters.

It's happening at nearly every away game.

It's completely unnecessary and is impacting upon people who don't live in Edinburgh, or have to make a late decision, attending.

Last time, I drove up to Aberdeen without a ticket and got one from their ticket office without any problem.

Every team handles their away ticket operations differently and that’s at their own prerogative as the home team (some teams completely differently in one season from one to the next - see Kilmarnock this season).

Not many run a hybrid of paper and online, some only do online, others don’t do sales on matchday. Appreciate the lack of consistency across the league won’t help supporters that choose to attend on the day. We help as much as we can in this space when no Matchday sales by taking purchased tickets through our office to the away ground or asking home teams to consider reprints at their ground for pick up.

Digital tickets are a fan convenience thing that should simply be mandated by the SFA or SPFL.

Force the hand of the clubs otherwise they'll just take the easy option. It's 2024 this sort of stuff should have been standardised years ago.

Not to mention it allows ticket sales right off to KO.

Something surely the clubs would want. The fans certainly do.

Kilmarnock is one of the two clubs who told me this. St Mirren was the other.

I'd love to know why Hibs are actively making it more difficult for their fans to attend games?

It also makes further mockery of our supposed green credentials (asking for paper tickets and forcing some fans to drive through to Edinburgh to collect tickets).

Thanks for flagging that. Both clubs have offered online tickets in the past. Online and digital tickets is always welcome by us because of supporter convenience and it supports our ticketing team with a reduced workload not facilitating the sales.

Kilmarnock I was aware of - see above - in our September fixture they offered paper tickets and online option towards end of sales (details https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/article/supporter-information-kilmarnock-a-1) and for our recent fixture they decided for a paper only approach based on last fixture sales.

For St.Mirren, they struggled with admitting the Hibs support with digital tickets last season through the 4 turnstiles (supporters getting in well after KO) and now only offer digital tickets for smaller supports.

By way of comparison, both clubs don’t offer online tickets for Hearts either.

Where clubs do select paper based sales - facilitated by us (either to support their own operation or because of the match category) we do offer different postal options for those that can’t get to Easter Road to collect and I’ll help where possible on uncollected tickets and reprint requests at home club.

That’s bizarre reasoning from St Mirren, surely the decision should be to open more turnstiles?

Very weird.

Looking at the league table..there is literally nothing between the two sides!

All exactly the same for both sides.

Not unusual early in the season, but a bit quirky at this stage.

On KP’s earlier update (on first page) he advised that sales would continue up to 4pm this afternoon.

If we have an allocation of 1200 then maybe they have sold out? Sure the club would have announced this if that was the case. Maybe a call to ticket office would be advised.
