Ref today is Grant Irvine.
He was absolutely hopeless v Ross County at Easter Road. He ignored multiple challenges from County players that should have been yellows. A shocking ref who is out his depth - fully expecting an abysmal performance him today.
Starting the thread early so we can comment later on about how dreadful he has been. :greengrin

If the players do their jobs the referee is irrelevant.

There are plenty of other threads about players not doing their jobs. We have lost a goal today despite our player clearly being fouled. That's not really irrelevant.

haha sorry.
Can forgive the ref not seeing the climbing all over Vente for the 1st but not the VAR official whoever it was.

I assumed you meant you don't like any refs which I thought was amusing.

Our new boys need to realise that there is no point talking to Scottish Refs they ain’t gonna change their mind especially 5 minutes after the final whistle has gone :greengrin

Thought the ref was pretty good today - maybe Killie fans wouldn’t agree

Allowed far too much time wasting for killie, whistle happy with where our throw ins were taken, blatant cheating at the end killie player pretending had a head knock, sprinted down the side of the pitch and allowed to return instantly, missed the sending off bailed out by var.

Just watched highlights. You think allowing killies first goal after the blatant foul on vente was acceptable? Even evidence of ventes shirt being pulled!

Watching it at the time I honestly didn't think it was a foul. If it is then you'd get a free kick at every cross. I understand the frustrations given the free kick Sevco got at ER against Vente. But if that's a foul today we may as well chuck it.
Saying that, I haven't seen it back since and I reserve the right to completely change my mind after watching highlights.

I know what you mean but both hands are on vente and he's got a handful of his shirt too. I don't want to overprotect defenders either but var should definitely have intervened. Even the rat McCann agreed!

If Neil Mccann is saying its a foul then you know its a foul.

Of course its a foul. Its a free kick that is routinely given in Scotland for similar challenges. How are people not thinking thats a foul!!! ???

When you see some of the free kicks that were given by the referee today in the match, it's even more bewildering that he didn't give that one.

A more obvious foul on Vente is hard to imagine. How the absolute clowns at VAR Central (Glasgow) couldn't see that is beyond comprehension. In my opinion VAR is failing to deliver what it was designed to do.

Just watched it back and probably a foul, aye. If their player wins the ball probably not, he just gets up earlier, but he doesn't make any contact with the ball so foul. Sickner that.

Sadly, we have to chuck it! watching back the highlights, the Killie player has two hands on Vente and a grip of his shirt. He's wrong side and actively prevents Vente jumping. It's a foul. And, so, we have to chuck it. Shame as I enjoyed it.
