We were offered him on loan but we wanted Liam Henderson instead. I wonder how things would have worked out if we’d accepted. 😁

Probably wouldn’t have won the Scottish cup, as his deliveries don’t come close 😅

I've heard this before but I'm sure it's a myth.

McGregor was 23 in season 15/16 and played 34 games that season for Celtic scoring 7 goals. He'd also played 30 games the season before and had been in multiple Scotland squads albeit he didn't make his debut until the season after.

He played a full season on loan at Nott County in 13/14 but was making regular appearances for Celtic from then on. By contrast Henderson was 17 and had made 15 appearances for Celtic in total when he came to us.

The build up to the Glasgow Derby highlighted that the 2016 semi was both current captains debuts in the fixture however there hadn't been one for a few years so he was established in 1st team possibly
