I'm assuming I'll have stopped hating Hibs by the time the Cup comes around and will want to go to this.

Does anyone know when tickets are likely to go on sale?

Probably a week or two but theres no real rush and we'll get about 3000 tickets (most will be standing tickets), so plenty to go round.

I find it really odd that Adults are cheaper in the terracing, but u-16s are more expensive in the terracing.

Capacity of about 6.7k - and google suggests their average attendance for the last few years is circa 500, I think we'll get plenty to satisfy demand to be honest, at least 4k I'd imagine.

Rip off 😂 it’s £1.25 for a first class stamp then add on the cost of the envelope and the printing of the postage label. Add on the TO staffs time so £2.50 is decent.

Confirmed that 3000 were given to us, take it as granted that 500 of those are already gone to Hibs First Members so that leaves 2500 terrace tickets left as the seats are sold out. Won't be a scramble like Tynecastle on Friday but I wouldn't hang about in getting them either.

Bus from Dundee to Forfar and then a ten minute walk to the ground. Plenty pubs en route to the ground. I wouldn't try and get to Forfar from Arbroath as the service isn't that good and the train will be more expensive

Flix bus is still cheap for a return to Dundee, then Stagecoach bus from there.

If it was Brechin instead of Forfar I'm sure Flix would've ran a direct service, one for those of a certain vintage! 😀

We want a dry day as it's predominately uncovered terracing behind the goals. Normally you can walk right round the ground but segregation will be in force for this game. There is a small covered terrace at the side but this will likely be split in half for the segregation.

It was postponed it would be played on the 2nd midweek after the initial postponement. In this case would be around Tuesday 30th or Wednesday 31st January
Here’s hoping everything is ok for the 20th, as I hate evening matches in the winter

Given we get 50% of gate receipts ( after expenses ) in cup ties and Forfar is one of very few towns with a club in the league without a railway station ( what are others ? Annan ? ) I`m surprised club hasn`t laid on buses for this game . I`m not meaning an expensive hospitality thing ( I presume marketing dept of club looked at that ) but a bus from ER to Forfar , maybe picking up in Fife , at a reasonable price . Not as competition to supporters club buses which are probably full ( club could publicise SC buses too ) . Understandably , emphasis is always on season ticket holders when selling tickets , but we still take big supports for away cup ties as fans enjoy a good day out and these games attract a lot of our fans who would otherwise become even more disconnected from our club .

Annan has a railway station.

Peterhead doesn’t have a railway station and is also the furthest league football ground in Britain from a railway station

brechin doesn’t have one (not a league club now though)

kelty is another place without a station, as is Cove Rangers.

east fife doesn’t have a station either but that’s changing from may when the Levenmouth branch opens

There are two bakers of Forfar bridies in Forfar, Mclarens and Saddlers. Mclarens are by far the better of the two IMO and Forfar use these for the corporate offering. I believe that Saddlers have taken over the running of the kiosks and they are not so good. I think there are only two kiosks in the ground so that will be one at each end so expect large queues. On normal match days I think there us normally only one open.

McLarens have two shops. The one at The Cross, inches town centre, has a hot cabinet, I think to keep them warm. The shop next to the ground us the bakery and you only get them hot when fresh out of the oven so it's all about timing.
