How poor was our final pass, how poor was our second ball, decision making, passing, movement, anticipation, turn of pace, directness.

When it comes to Edinburgh derbies, it's a psychological thing, it has to be. They don't always have better teams, but they simply just seem to get the results. Different owners, different managers, different players,but over the years they just seem to win, the odd occasion not. Today's game was a perfect example. Not inclined to blame players. Accountability for success and failure starts at the top, with those that recruit and sack players, managers, staff. Get recruitment and culture right and the rest will follow. Our best hope for better comes with the new investment promised which will allow the owners to transform the club. There are a lot of current players who need to be moved on, and much better brought in key positions.

We are being served up a turgid display almost week in week out. Far more astute fans than me are saying the same thig, week in week out, re our formation, not playing to the players strengths etc, but it is the same serving we are dealt game after game.
We are lucky to be where we currently are and bottom 6 is calling if something does not give.
So hate, definitely not, but I hear the bugle call of indifference faintly in the background, and it will not take many more performances like this to have it blasting in my ear.

A lot of folk claim that the good moments make up for all the misery but I'm no longer sure I agree. I find it increasingly hard to accept that a club with an infrastructure like ours should be so relentlessly mediocre, often downright awful, with only sporadic sparks of positivity. It's been especially soul sapping in recent years where it feels as though the club is just treading water and lacking any sense of direction/purpose.

I was really enthusiastic about all things Hibs when RG took over.

Loved the way he talked about us and totally bought into his 5-year vision for the club. I appreciate that Covid put the breaks on things a bit but it felt like we were moving in the right direction.

It's gone from looking very rosey in the garden, in Europe and a division above our rivals to slogging it out with Dundee for a top six place while said rivals are almost a certainty for another crack at group stage European football. Quite incredible how we've managed to get it so wrong on the football front yet so right off the park. It's almost not worth the hassle getting so pissed off about it.

The frustration of investing not so much your cash but your emotional energy in the fortunes of a group of footballers whose performance you have zero ability to influence sums up how daft it is to allow your team to cause you so much anguish. I sometimes wonder if players truly understand how miserable they can make their supporters!

I would question the clubs ambition of accepting mediocrity and while we know the improvements to the stadium, hospitality and training ground - the team just has to be the main focus going forward.

We don't expect to win every game - I don't expect us to even beat the Old Firm but the rest of the league we should be doing better against more consistency to our performances and more wins against teams with less resources.

Sort of agree but look at how much money we have spent on players who were on the pitch against Motherwell.Vente 800 k .Youhan 750 k and Levitt 300k.That is a massive investment on the playing side by Hibs standards. So up to the players and manager to get the best out of that investment .

We don't expect to win every game - I don't expect us to even beat the Old Firm but the rest of the league we should be doing better against more consistency to our performances and more wins against teams with less resources.
