Nice wee interview with Liam in the Guardian. Apologies I can’t post link but a few references to Hibs and that he feels he’s a Hibs fan now ( his family were half Hibs half Celtic)

Wow! A Guardian article about Scottish football! And one that's not about the Old Firm! Great read though, and great to see Liam's still delivering ...

Comes across really well and glad to hear he's still loving life out in Italy.

Huge credit to him for stick out playing in Italy for so many teams and years. Heard an interview with him a few years ago and he was speaking the language well. Think like anything the more you integrate with a place the much more likely that you are going to settle better. Must be brilliant playing and living in Italy. Well done Liam

Bring him home

I spent my summer holiday this year in Sicily, just outside Palermo. I can't imagine a reason Henderson would want to leave where he is to come back to 'sunny' Leith :greengrin

Would love him back though, you never know!

Yup, fun interview.

Our man in Sicily seems like such a great character.

I'm surprised more footballers don't seek sunnier climes if they have the gumption.

Great to hear the young man making a real go living overseas, fantastic and all the best to him, he is forever a Hibs Legend for 2016.

It’s still relatively rare to see British players going abroad, compared to say German or French or Dutch players. Not sure why

A lot of people not just football players are a wee bit scared to go and try living in a place where they don't speak the same language, we in this country are very lazy when it comes to speaking or learning other languages while the Germans, Dutch and Nordic countries all speak English better than some of us do.
That imho is one of the reasons.

It's definitely a mentality thing, I've known a lot of people over the years who I knew wouldn't last long away from home, you have to go there with the mindset of not comparing then and now or you'll struggle forever.
