Only Colum can say why this disgusting person
Escaped a booking ?

Nothing new. Exactly the same in his first spell. Said to my laddie before the game, “how many fouls will Shinnie get away with without a booking?”

It's beyond the joke now, but you would have the same consideration for a player like Jeggo if possible.

I said exactly the same thing, its astonishing! It's like he has a hold over refs. So strange.

Another Hibs Vs Aberdeen match. Another 90 minutes of Joe Newell being the best midfielder on the pitch.

Thought Shinnie was excellent today. Watched him at FT and was over making sure he shook every Hibs player's hand and seemed to be very well received.

Was relieved when he went off.

He's a good experienced player, but he'd not be nearly as effective if refs booked him for tackles other players get booked for all the time.

Not as good a Ref as Willie Miller and no where near as good a player

Pantomime villain

Anyone remember that League Cup quarter final at Easter Road where Aberdeen settled for pens from minute one and Shinnie refereed the entire 120 minutes and led the time wasting and body checking ?

Probably why he doesn't get booked because refs like him.

He could have pulled out a knife and stabbed 3 of our players and Collum would have told him it was his very last warning.

Mentioned that very game to a mate today. How he never got booked that night astounded me, think it was McLean the referee that night (or Shinnie) Today was nothing in comparison.

Should have still been booked. Not only for persistent fouling but the late one in the second have was quite astonishing he escaped a yellow. Consider Boyle’s yellow and there really is no excuse.

He was, he's a really good player though so wasn't surprised at that. Absolutely baffled by the fact he didn't get booked.

Was raging at Collum today. Shinnie getting away with murder is par for the course, but still absolutely infuriating. He gave them absolutely everything in the second half, some absolutely shambolic decisions.

Was absolutely desperate to order a retake after the penalty save, and the seven minutes injury time was an absolute joke. Did we even get seven minutes in the semi when the check on Boyle’s goal took five minutes?

Thought Joe and Dylan absolutely schooled Shinnie today - he couldn’t get close to them. Some size of beak on him too, makes Skacel look like button nose.

Genuinely where did those 7 minutes come from? I have no idea what rules are being applied now in that regard. The pen award was pretty instant. Aberdeen were chasing the game and I don't recall us doing any outrageous timewasting.

He also blew up during a quick set-piece from us second half but when no-one noticed, seemingly allowed play to continue with hand to his mouth. We almost scored until he eventually blew for offside?

Gave them 3/4 freekicks from around 30yd distance that were questionable. One in the first half Miovski just ran into Rocky and got the foul. Also gave us a bizarre one second half and booked their man from 40yd distance, when the linesman 2yds away was unmoved.

Our goal, numerous subs, VAR check for pen and Marshall being off his line, and the injury to Marshall for disallowed goal - I thought it was the right amount. Mind if it was v Old Firm it would be the standard 3 minutes if we were losing by a goal and 10 if winning by a goal 😂

Good old willie collum I genuinely don't think he favours any team he's just not very good but give me him over the bent corrupt ones any day though that's not saying a lot.

Shinnie's legs have clearly gone which is why he got caught out so frequently in midfield and should have been booked on numerous occasions.

Still a decent player for the SPFL. But against the better players in the league and properly coached sides should be easily exposed.

Absolutely incredible the latitude given to him. Notice last season when he was red carded v County was the first time he had ever been sent off in his professional career. Amazing stat given the number of fouls he commits and his girning at referees.

He did get booked eventually, he then had a professional foul about 3 mins from the end of extra time where he should simply have been off. No, stayed to take pen.

Cant stand him, but as a midfield spoiler I think I could warm to himIf he brought the same pattern of play to Hibs he'd get booked within minutes and sent off every second game. As I said above for whatever reason I've yet to see a Hibs player be allowed such leeway. Scott Brown was labelled "a nutter" and "dangerous" when at Hibs yet he got away with worse at Celtic and was lauded for being tough and streetwise.

Spot on, we simply aren't allowed a player like that.

It always frustrates me that when faced against robust sides, that when we get robust ourselves it doesn’t appear to be tolerated.

Week after week we see foul upon foul on our players go unpunished and then see our own players get cards for the most innocuous of offences.

It’s one thing looking to add a bit of steel to the side, but it’s another being allowed to play with a bit of steel that isn’t a one way street towards multiple cards and suspensions.
