That was a big win, so well done Monty, the boy Beck should have been sent off but we all know the GFA instructions to refs when playing against Hibs.

Said before happy to leave tactics and picking teams to Monty, and from someone who has seen some of the best wingers in Scotland over my long years watching Hibs, I have faith in our new man having us challenging along with much better quality players once the new investors cash comes rolling in. it will indeed be interesting to see what Monty does with the players out on loan, including the youth players too. throw into the mix that he will know players that he'll want too, there'll be some key decisions to be made. not sure we'll see significant changes until the summer though. personally I don't see Henderson staking a claim but I've not really kept up with his progress on loan

it is sort of funny though when we win the matchday thread goes a wee bit bare, just wonder what happens to all the usual posters when we win, if we had lost or drew this would be a 23 or 24 pager.

I’d have young Jair watching repeats of wee Russell over and over again - that wee spin and turn and drive into the box for his goal was Latapy-esque 😃 he’s fairly getting up to speed and playing with confidence and dare I say flair. Could be a very good no 10 in that midfield. Not only do you see him smiling but what was very evident is the team being delighted for him. Looks a very happy and content squad under the new gaffer.

I think Henderson is the type of player NM wants in the ‘winger’ positions and not the likes of Youan or Boyle. Maybe McKirdy too.

While Jair is indeed like a new signing I think we are probably seeing that Youan is not going to fit into this team. Question marks on Boyle too.

That’s going to be something fans will have to get used to I think. I prefer to see us using quick wingers and creating lots of chances but don’t think it will be like that. Still, it might be effective in different ways as it was today. Winning games goes a long way to making everything else secondary.

I thought Joe played really well once we were down to 10 men but not sure when we are at full strength what Levitt or Newell really contribute, we were continually playing out from Fish or Rocky to the wingbacks or the "wingers" and the midfields main contribution was stopping attacks or passing sideways.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Levitt and/or Youan leave in January if offers came in as both must be pretty p***ed off with not playing full matches.

We started the game superbly today and the goal was absolutely brilliant.

Had it not been for the sending off I think we’d have got more chances as they started chasing and won comfortably. Funnily though, I think the way we had to win in the end might do the players more good, knowing they can dig in and get over the line when they need to. Was big to see that through for me.

Unfortunately for Boyle and Youan neither are playing well at all right now and I don’t think they can blame the position for that. They’re still getting in good positions but just not pulling things off.

Fwiw I’ve always thought Youan is better off the left, but so is Jair and at the moment Jair is playing better.

I think Youan loses his sense of position on the right and doesn’t know where to go weirdly. I’d be tempted to try him through the middle with Vente

Watching the highlights and yet again we have a penalty denied and then Miller is sent off for two yellow where it would be easy to argue neither was a yellow and the second could have been a yellow for their wing back. Still waiting for 50 years of poor refereeing to even it self out against us

I wouldn't disagree with any of that . I think both Boyle and Youan have just lost abit of form like all players do from time to time , while he wasn't bad today I do think Boyle wasn't nearly as effective as we have seen him in other games . Hopefully they both find there form again soon .

I have to say as someone that had my doubts about Tavares even before the international break he has certainly changed my opinion of him after today . Thoroughly deserving of his MotM award 👏

Loads getting made of the system and it not getting the most out of players but it is regularly getting us in to positions to win games. We’ve lost 1 game out of 10 in the league since Montgomery came in and really should have had more points on the board.

Levitt going nowhere. Thought his substitution was strange but we’ve been better with him in the team. Youan and Boyle will both finish the season comfortably in double figures as well.

Big positive for us just now is that we are no longer reliant on one or two players.

If I was looking at penalty incident without my green tinted specs on it should have been looked at as there have been many penalties given by VAR with less contact than the incident today. I really think we need to have a system that the manager is allowed to request an incident is reviewed as there are far too many incidents in the Scottish game that seem to favour one team in particular, they seem to have every incident in the box looked at. The Boyle one in the last home game was not reviewed but was another stonewaller. VAR is beginning to lose any credibility.

Some highlights of the game here👍.
Two things I noticed watching them , that ball from Vente for Jair's goal was excellent.
The save Marshall made from Jair's mistake was also excellent..
I know there was abit of a debate about Miller's 2nd yellow in some saying miller had his arm on the Dundee player though I think it was given for the dive from the Dundee player imo .

Think we need to be looking at picking up a good amount of points in December. Not ideal with the away games but Livingston, St Johnstone and Ross County are good fixtures that we need to be looking to win. Hoping we can beat Aberdeen next week to keep the momentum going, them being away to Helsinki on Thursday should be useful. They’re already out so be interesting to see what type of team they put out in that.

We decided to let the crowds disperse before leaving the stadium, and I have to say that Landers, Whittaker, and Molotnikov appear to have a good camaraderie between them. Once the likes of Megwa and MacIntyre break into the team, it wouldn't shock me if we were to see a new "golden generation" break through (maybe not quite to that level though, that is a real rarity). With most of them having gone through the European campaign that led them to Easter Road together I'm excited to see what they can do under a manager who knows how to give youth a chance.
