Just watched the Hibs TV highlights and realised just how well we actually played going forward.
On another day we would have won that comfortably.
Hopefully our luck will start turning tomorrow night.

First time I've watched them back fully and I thought we played really well. Some great forward play, Tavares in particular didn't put a foot wrong.

This is how I feel about it. We play that game 100 times and 99 times we’re in the final.

It’s just unfortunate that for every 100 of those types of games, it feels like Hibs are on the wrong end of it 99 times.

I'm glad it wasn't just me!! I came away from Hampden gutted not to win but pleased with how we played generally. Can't believe the threads on here slating us and twitter is just a total joke. Keep playing that way, tighten up the defence and we will start to win many more games. I await the usual suspects telling me how pish we were, 442 etc etc

That's, erm interesting. So all about who the manager uis whether or not you'd give some leeway. I personally don't give a **** who the manager is. I thought we played well.

I think people's tolerance and reaction to results will certainly reflect what they think of the manager at the time.

People backing the team will hopefully be everyone. I guess it will be pretty mixed on people backing the manager or not. I'm sure everyone who wanted Johnson sacked for example were still backing the team and wanting us to do well.

It is early days but there's not much leeway in being a manager these days so ultimately results like this count against you. The Falkirk league cup game for example was very early for Johnson but still gets talked about.

I think what we often see is the previous manager gets stick for just about everything for a period, then goes and those people giving him stick for everything suddenly go quite far the other way for a while in defending the new guy - then they ultimately end up on their case too.

Me, I'd have given quite a few of our previous managers much longer because I think the perfect manager who won't go through bad spells doesn't exist. I'll be the same with this one but i think we can still say when results and performances should be better.

I watched the highlights last night and it just reiterated to me how much we threw it away.

We weren’t unlucky or anything like that because it was our own fault we didn’t put the ball in the net. I thought I was maybe going a bit mad because I was reading people saying that we had hardly created anything but when you watch it back we did more than enough to have the game won by the time they got their first proper chance.

The match stats show they had more shots on target than us. That can only be because they deflected about a dozen without having a clue where they were going.Although we were poor with the goal they defended well and were also unbelievably lucky.

Could argue they had more desire to stop the ball going in their net though. When you strip it all back, they had someone run 80 yards up the park to score a goal, wandering past half our team in the process, and we didn’t have anyone that was willing to do that at that moment.

Boyle ended up in the back of our net. Must have passed the whole of the team to get there. Pity more didn’t follow his example.

From the goal we conceded, if it has been Aberdeen they would have made a tactical foul at the edge of box as the breakaway had barely started. Or they would at least tried to make a tackle! Was niave defending in the extreme from us pub league defending. We were also also over committed. Can't have someone run the park the park for an age unopposed without putting pressure on them. We were asking for trouble and with Miovski we should have known there was a real chance for them to score.
Almost any other team in the league would have been streetwise there, apart from us... history has a habit of repeating itself.

First time I have seen the highlights. Incredible how we never won that game.
