Former teaching colleague is working with displaced Scottish/Israeli kids who are staying with relatives in Giffnock. She's arranging to take them to a Spurs match which I've offered to help out with. Looking at the map, the stadium looks pretty much in the same location as White Hart Lane was, so a relatively straightforward trip from King's Cross?

Get the overground from Liverpool Street to White Hart Lane. It's worthwhile going early. Loads to do in the ground. Catering is quite reasonably priced as well.

I was at the Spurs Liverpool game few weeks back.

Closest way from Kings Cross is Tube to Seven Sisters ( 7 minutes) then either a 10 min bus or a 30 min walk straight up the Seven Sisters Road.

If you were coming from Liverpool St Station area could just get the 22 min overground directly to White Hart Lane station, which is 2 mins walk from the ground.

Brilliant stadium, enjoy mate!

It's the same site albeit the new one has a much larger footprint. Presumably they ditched the name with a view to future naming rights?

They did. They're looking for £150m-£200m for it

Cheers all.

Given the heightened vibes around the conflict in London right now I'd suggested they opt for a Scottish game first off, but apparently they've been a bit unnerved by anti-Israel stuff at Celtic Park.

I'll hopefully persuade them along to ER!

Out of interest how are they managing to get tickets for a game? Was hard enough me trying to get 2 recently!

Not sure. From what I gather there's a season ticket holder in one of the families, while I think Spurs have been quite accommodating in the circumstances.

They'll have no bother there and it'll be a great experience for them. London is enormous and it will be very easy to avoid any of the Israeli/Gaza protests.

TBF I feel the Celtic protests are against the Israeli govt and pro Palestine.
There are Jewish Celtic supporters I know a couple quite well from business.

Unfortunately I think that distinction has become rather blurred bearing in mind the surge in anti-Semitic incidents, particularly in London.
