If it’s the knee, he’s going to be out for a few weeks at best. Big miss but I don’t think playing him through the middle works. Looks like it’ll be Jair and Youan wide with Vente and Doidge/ALF alongside him.

Boyle hasn’t hit the heights this season but he puts fear into the opposition the way he can run in behind and stretch the game. Hopefully not out for long

Scan today

Cheers, the fact it needs a scan can't be good news.

It's just routine I think?

I'm fearing the worst tbh.

It didn't look good.

I think a scan probably indicates it’s more than a knock but I don’t think it’s necessarily a sign it could be long term.

I’d be hugely concerned it this is another bad injury though. I’m not sure how many more he can bounce back from.

Hopefully just precaution and he is back in a couple of weeks.

I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. Quite often a scan comes back and everyone is relieved it’s nothing serious and the player is back in a week or two rather than anything longer term.

It didn’t but they walked him round surely if it was bad they wouldn’t have done that?

There have been instances when players have suffered very serious injuries and still been able to walk, sometimes even try to play on.

Was it Kevin Thomas at Hearts who tried to play on after suffering a very serious injury?

It was just the way he fell with nobody near him, looked the sort of thing that would probably still allow him to walk but it wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being something nasty.
