Hoi-an is a quiet little oasis that offers a break from the madness of Hanoi. I’d be amazed if you found anywhere there to see the match. Maybe better to try in Danang or just enjoy the tranquility of Hoi-an and forget about things for a few days.😀

My mate lives in Hoi An, and teaches Scouse at one of the local schools. He follows Hibs closely, and would probably have you round to watch it, but unfortunately he’s currently back in Oz. I flicked him your thread, and got back the following:

“Over the bridge from the old town on An Hoi island, there's a few Irish/Sports bars along the street along the river (Nguyen Phuc Chu). It's on at the samish time as Newcastle v Arsenal (shown on cable) which might out compete it. Kick off is after midnight so the expat places are likely to be the only ones open. I've seen some SPL football on Vietnamese telly, so he might be able to watch it in his room.”
