Listened to a bit of this but found it a bit frustrating that the guys hum and haw about things like when did we score our first goal on Tuesday or not having read anything about the potential Foley investment. A basic amount of interest in what you are talking about usually helps keep the listeners (or this one anyway) interested.

That's not meant to read as overly critical but it probably does.

I get Johns point about any players from other clubs coming here has to be mutually beneficial though to counter that, we have taken players from EPL clubs on loan for years and most have been largely innefective (Harbottle being the most recent example) so something that has a bit more structure around player placement is surely a good thing.

We did :greengrin he wasn't signed from Notts Forest's U23 team though. He had a really good season at Mansfield.

Aye, I remember that bit. Ach, but you get the overall point though. We have taken lots of players from England on loans who have been way below standard.

I liked that point as well, I hadn't really considered that we might end up with players that don't suit us just to get them game time and I think that's definitely a risk.

I would hope the set up is such that situations like that don't artise though.

Good ep guys. Bit harsh on Jair re the finish, I thought to beat the keeper at his near post needed to get that strike spot on with power behind it and he did, great finish IMO.
