Wtf was the need in taking rocky off?

Anyone who doesn't rate Rocky just needs to look at the difference when he went off, the defence fell apart.

But he brought on Hanlon, who’s FAR better apparently.

Neither are good enough!

It was both, Rocky and Jeggo. Centre half and the defensive mid. Delferriere has always looked a bit dropsy so that never helped.

Don't mind Hanlon starting but no need to make that change mid game for what looked like change sake.

No problem with either starting - there was just no need to change it. Rocky was solid

Rocky is more than good enough, clean sheet against the champions and was strolling it tonight.

Spot on. Hopefully NM will learn from this. We lost our shape when Jeggo went off. And the defence lost it with Rocky's departure.

Bizarre subs. Got away with it against St Mirren. The league is so tight that we need to see games out at 2-0 or we could easily fail to make the top six.

I’d need to see that form maintained for longer tbh. But time will tell, certainly deserves his place over Hanlon at the moment. Centre of defence remains weak for me. Inconsistent and mistake prone.

Doesn't matter how good or bad the player coming on is, changing your defence for no real reason is amateur. It's tough coming into a game as a defender at 2-0 up nothing to gain, everything to lose. Stupidity.

I've been scratching my head every time he changes a central defender around 70 mins. He's done it loads already and every time it just seems pointless

Does seem strange. Most managers leave their defence well alone if it’s doing ok and there is no injury.

Really poor decisions by Montgomery tonight. He basically did MM job for him.

I seem to remember that not so long ago Rocky was considered to be, useless and not good enough to play for Hibs, how times have changed.

I’m still to be convinced by him. What he’s done in the last few weeks has shown to be a better option than Hanlon now. But centre half is our weakest position for me.

Centre half and goalkeeper are definitely our weakest parts of the team. Annoyingly, they are arguably the most important for a successful team.

It's weird, almost as if he doesn't trust them to continue playing well for the full 90 mins. And what's with always subbing Vente too? I don't really get that either.

Vente was knackered.

And maybe Rocky and Hanlon are not 100%? It's never a simple decision to make a sub am sure, lots of niggles and issues impact players fitness and wellbeing that the fans don't see.

IMHO Ricardo Santos of Bolton would solve our Centre Back situation.

Steadied up from a fair bit of movement in his early career to be in the EFL League one team of the year for the last 3 years in a row. 28 years old, 6ft 5ins tall and built like a mountain. Decent pace and passing and very calm.
Under contract till 2025 but this is where the Foley investment could make a difference. Hopefully Brian McDermot is aware.
