This is a brilliant interview, thought it was interesting how Doidgey was rushing back post injury to try and help the team. You could see he wasn't right and think his career with us suffered from his decision to do so. Top pro and glad he's here.

Think this podcast is getting better and better, fair play Matty & the team.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, to think we might have let a guy with this attitude to his game generally and Hibs specifically move on.

Wasn't his biggest fan in the early days, but am a big fan now.

Was a great interview looks such a good genuine guy, was interesting his views on the covid season how the style they where playing wouldn’t have been allowed at ER if fans where at the game, goes to show how much shouts from the stand effect the game on the pitch maybe worth consider next time we’re screaming for Rocky or Marshall just to shell it forward

I thought that was a really interesting point that he made, particularly as it shows to a degree how the players' awareness of the support can impact how they play (or feel that they should play).

Think it also shows players sometimes have a funny memory at times (no quite to the extent of Gary O’Connor to be fair) because our home form was actually pretty poor that season. That’s why they wouldn’t have got away with it at ER that season. Away form much better and, without wanting to start a Jack Ross debate, I thought the way he spoke about how Ross wanted to play would be more suited to playing away. Think the reference to a young player like Doig coming in to the team at that time was pretty valid though.

Thought he spoke quite well though. Liked the fact there was nae sitting on the fence from him at the end when asked for a prediction Saturday. None of the diplomatic ‘tough game’ chat.

I thought what he said about Ross as manager was really interesting and confirmed my thoughts on his time as manager.

Successful season and I get why people, including the players, liked him. The fact he acknowledged they found a way to score a goal and would try to see it out was what i didn’t like though. Again though, I’m not wanting to open up another debate about it, I get why people liked him, it just wasn’t for me.

I didn’t agree with his summary of the St Johnstone cup final to be honest, he made out like it was a one off game and we just never clicked but St Johnstone had our card marked that season, they knew how to beat us and we weren’t good enough to work out how to get the better of them when it mattered.

Good interview though, really enjoyed it. Seems like a really great guy, he’s done well this season, hopefully his form picks up again soon.

Thought he should have been one of the first out of the door this summer but he’s been decent this season. Happy to keep him in the squad.

I’ve seen interviews with both Lewis Miller and Christian Doidge recently and was impressed by both of them.

Both players came across as down to earth, likeable characters.

Thoroughly enjoyed this latest one with Doidgy.

When are we getting Harry McKirdy on?

Daz’s tackle on Peter Haring at Tiny was quality as well

I enjoyed listening to the interview (still got the last 20 mins or so to go).

Doidge spoke well and I liked the format with more folk on-board and asking some very good questions.

Keep up the good work guys.

Gavin Rittoo is part of the comms team I think. He’s the guy that’s sometimes on Hibs TV / YouTube videos with the sort of Noth of Scotland accent.

Class lads getting big doidgey on. Such a good attitude and a humble guy, these players who love playing for the club we have to treat them like one of our own,we know only too well the flip side when players couldn’t give a hoot.

Love big doidge! Gentleman and underrated.

He is, you’ll have seen him interviewing fans over in Luzern or on some of the hibs tv interviews etc.

 i was in two minds about doing it, had the idea just before we started so John and Colin had no idea it was coming either.

The st Johnstone final played badly for Jack Ross - as you say, we didn’t find another way and take the shackles off.

However, overall there’s no doubt that Jack was treated badly imo. Not the most exciting manager for us, but he did a good job. Unfortunately the negative voices got louder and louder during a bad run.

There is doubt, it was the right decision imo.

You don’t agree and that’s fine but to say there’s no doubt isn’t correct.

Thought it was interesting how Doidge said, that despite fact the players all liked playing for him, they could sense it coming and things just weren’t working at that point. That’s what it felt like and looked like to me at the time.
