Story isn't about Rocky, but I did think about him when all this kicked off and noticed he only moved back to Israel in the summer. Not a happy homeland for him to return to. Would be happy to see him back at ER if he ever fancied a return to the relative tranquility of Edinburgh.

It about 40km east of Gaza and was under attack the other day (may well have been under attack since too, I don't know). I think he's from Ashod which is next to Gaza and has been under fire, as referenced in the article in the OP, so he's potentially got relatives that have been affected too.

I think both him and Shelly posted on social media earlier in the week but nothing from them since.

Beer Sheva is in Southern Israel .
Just read he signed a 3 year contract with Hapoel in June this year.
He is also still captain of the national side.

Could be that Rocky is also reservist.
Whichever, I think Rocky has decided to play out his career in Israel/

Marciano is better than all of them. Probably combined right now. But I do agree it'll never happen. But if there's a chance we can make it happen and bring his family over here and safe then I hope we do.

None of it's simple and the actions of both sides are inexcusable. But I guess it's a subject for the Holy Ground, not here.

I truly hope Marciano and his familty are safe and I'd love to see him come back at some point.

I understand what you’re saying I’m no taking sides mate, Israel knew something was going to happen their intelligence did nothing to stop it. Sacrifice some of their own to obliterate Gaza, I hope everyone is safe on both sides. Govt cannot be trusted same with msm

There is very likely to be a genocide in the next 72 hours. I don't think any actions prompt that.

It's a dreadful situation, but Rocky is very unlikely to be in any danger. His country are about to flatten their opposition.

Personally, I haven't seen Marciano play since he left Hibs, not can I really make an informed comment on Wollacot's quality and nor, I imagine, can you?

I'm happy to stick with what we have. I hope Rocky and family are safe, but Hibs aren't needing another keeper
