Have not heard or seen anything about Riley Harbottle, anyone know why, as thought there was potential?

Although not in the squad was out on the pitch prematch versus St Johnstone (home) getting put through his paces by the coaching staff

Certainly looks as though he has potential but might be they are working on his fitness to get him up to speed

Always going to be tough for him to get any game time as we have 3 good defenders ahead of him .

I heard he's been struggling with a few niggles. For me he is the one that can potentially play in Hanlon's position longer term. He had plenty games as an LCB in the past.

I think he'll turn out to be an excellent player and I really felt for him when he was thrown to the wolves at RB in Johnson's last game.

For all our defence gets a bit of grief there are 3 strong players ahead of him at CH right now and he'll probably get the time he needs to get over a few niggles before being needed for the first team.

Said before somewhere, my mates a forest season ticket holder who occasionally comes to ER with me. He rates Harbottle highly and was surprised forest let him go.

He was involved in the warm up last week against St Johnstone and was doing some running when the team went in.

I thought he looked dreadful when I saw him down at Blackpool but then I thought he was decent in the Raith game. Hung out to dry against Livingston by Johnson so can’t read anything at all in to that performance out of position. If Rocky is ahead of him (which he clearly is) he has a bit of a problem though. Short of an injury crisis it’s difficult to see him getting on the pitch.

He walked in with Vente on Saturday. I don't think he was mentioned in the injury round ups so maybe just not quite doing enough to get in teh squad. One centre Half on the bench is probably enough so he will have to wait his turn
