Sky have picked Killie v Aberdeen that weekend.
Maybe Hibs will move it for PPV

I mean good on them selecting a non OF game but not selecting Hibs v Celtic seems daft

Apparently Motherwell moved their game with Celtic 15 days before for PPV purposes.

We've had a couple of games recently versus the uglies at Easter Rd not shown on TV. Its a good thing but it does make the decision not to show the derbies even more baffling.

Tbh, it would seem financially sensible to offer it on PPV but, selfishly, I hope it's not.

If Hibs are allowed to move it for ppv then I’d say it’s almost a certainty they will

Aye I did, up with them back on a Lumo. Used some LNER Perks so got it down to £16.06. So not too much lost if it changes.

Can see Hibs moving it to 12.30 kick off for PPV.

Any further updates on this? The 12:30 KO would actually suit me better, but would be good to know either way ASAP.

Not really. If they can only show 4 at each ground and they have already picked Hibernian v Hearts in December then a game like this has to be dropped.
We always look at Sky but it is the clubs who wanted 4 games at each ground and in fairness, they got more money from the current deal for less games but it does mean the best games won’t all be on TV.
Fine is you go to games right enough.
The clubs wanted that so it wouldn’t have mattered who got the TV deal, that was what the clubs put out to tender.

Any idea when these tickets are going on sale? Has KO time been confirmed yet? My train tickets covering both lunchtime and 3pm KO times.

Since when has the 4 games each ground been a rule? In years gone by we must have had six minimum against Hearts and Old Firm shown at ER then if any others were picked aswell as those games

Well they haven’t been showing derbies on sky so what else are they holding out for to show at ER? After the hearts derby there’s still 3 games to show at ER and you can guarantee they’ll involve Celtic and rangers

It was four at each ground from 2004-2006 with Setanta and only 1 Derby each season was shown.
From 2006-2020, it was six at each ground in deals with Setanta then Sky/ESPN and Sky/BT. Four at the Old Firm grounds, six everywhere else.
The current deal, signed in 2018 and started in 2020 wanted just one broadcaster, less games on TV and less games at each ground, so it is now four at every ground. They got more money for less games on TV.
From 2024/25, it will be 5 games at each ground.

They probably will include those games but ultimately with four at each ground and 6 that would normally be shown in the previous deal, two big games won’t be shown.
Plenty of Hibernian v Celtic games have not been on in recent years too.
For me, it is on the clubs. They restrict and don’t insist on Sky showing certain games. They take the money and no responsibility.

These lunatics don’t appear to be happy that their allocation is only 3591 and that they’re only getting half the South Stand.

“Celtic have received an allocation of 3,591 tickets from Hibs for the Scottish Premiership match at Easter Road on Saturday 28 October, meaning that the Celtic support will have half a stand at the game as seems to be the new norm for these trips to Leith.
Not a lot you can say about that. Just file alongside their misspelt Celtc banner.

Both Celtic and Rangers seem to have these wee websites where they pretend to be journalists but talk absolute nonsense. Do they think the south stand seats 7 thousand?

Suppose it's a huge reason they are so well supported and successful, but the amount of wee Glasgow bedrooms that house people who think of nothing but Celtic and Rangers every minute of every day is mind boggling.

They took so many to Lisbon in 67 that an estimated 90% of Lisbons population today is descended from Celtic fans.

3,500 is the full stand, they would know this if they actually bothered to attend games of football.
You aren't entitled to as many seats as you want at OUR stadium. Take what you're offered or **** off.

The reason they only got 3591 tickets is because there is now a black canvas below the police control room in the south stand over a part of a block. Maybe if they didnt interfere with the control room they would have got the full allocation
