When I watched his highlight reel before he signed I was adamant it was a wind up and there was no chance we could've signed him.

He was deadly in front of goal, could score with both feet and even managed a few decent headers. When he was 1 v 1 he was so composed and didn't give the keepers a chance.

I am delighted that we've managed to get him and he's hit the ground running. Hopefully we can get an extension sorted as he's going to make us a lot of money when he goes.

To be honest, if he moves it means he has been on fire - so I am quite relaxed about that, as long as the recruitment team have "the next one" on their radar and we have a large sellon %age for Vente.

This seems to be the model for us and if we can make it work ongoing then the future is bright.

I think he'll be off in the summer. The club won't want another situation or a key asset running down their contract and hampering out negotiating power.

He'll bang in 25 goals, win us the league cup and get us finishing 3rd and we'll punt him for about £4-£5 million next summer. Everyone's a winner.

Don't disagree. it's what Aberdeen should have done with the boy Duk. I think Vente is far better than Duk though.

We have had some good strikers over the years Nisbet, stokes , wright etc though I can't remember us having one as clinical as Vente tbh , over the last 3 games he's not had a lot of chances though give him half a sniff of one and it normally results in a goal. Honestly thought we'd miss Nisbet when he left , I was wrong though . What a signing Vente's been :greengrin

Vente is a rare commodity at Hibs. Arrived amidst manager turmoil with the club full of unrest, half fit but still scored v Luzern. New manager comes in and he's still scoring goals and looking better and better every game he plays. What I like about him is that he only needs half a chance to get a shot on target. Not seen that since Riordan, Vente is a natural finisher and they are good finishes as well. We've not had that type of player since Cummings imo but Vente is better than him.

If he keeps going the way he is he will easily bag 20+ this season and it's likely he will be attracting interest as early as January. We will make a few quid off him I'm sure.

I also think he is scoring at Tynecastle in a weeks time.

I was thinking about the point of him having more efforts on goal as well as, at times, it does seem that he can be quite quiet in games.

But even though he’s got 10 appearances, it’s only actually 589 minutes that he’s played and he’s never completed the 90.

I think he’ll get even better the more he plays.

I've not seen You Tube showcases of Vente's goals or anything, just what he done at Hibs so far so maybe he's playing differently than he did in the Netherlands?

From what we've seen, I'm not sure he's a guy who's going to bang in goals from outside the box. He does seem like a real penalty box predator though. Quick feet, instinctive movement and a no mess finish. He seems pretty selfless too, very good at linking play.

For me it's early days and Vente's full range of play isn't clear yet.

I really hope this team continues to fire up and he forms great partnerships with his front guys. We got goals coming from all areas of the team at the moment (almost), he's playing alongside guys in Boyle and Youan that create their own opportunities. It's been a rare thing to see a Hibs side with that potency down the flanks, it must change the role of the guys playing through the middle?

I would like to see Le Fondre start with Dylan on Saturday, we need the guile of ALF on the field as much as possible, circumstances permitting.
