What a performance from Hibs that was, particularly after the break. Nice goals, energy, pace... just what the home fans want to see. Some half-time team talk that must have been from Nick Montgomery, who now has his first ever trip to Hampden to look forward to.
For Saints, finally a defeat after 10 games without one. They looked good, 1-0 up at half-time, and also pretty decent when they pulled it back to 2-2.
Unusually for them, they were a little too lax at the back, which allowed Hibs in four times in one half.

Was reading some comments on here that I thought were over the top. We were poor first half but there was next to nothing in the game.

Then I thought Monty had made an error with the triple sub. We never got organised quick enough and when it went to 2-2 and we’d taken two of our attackers off I thought we were in trouble. Brilliant to go and dig that out.
