I found the referee and some of the decisions in our game really inconsistent and bizarre. Probably the main one Doidge getting knee'd In the face and yet the Killie player escapes without a booking in what could have imo been a red card offense though Boyle does pick up a yellow even though he doesn't connect with the player . Millers booking I thought was harsh as I felt he clearly won the ball too . Did anyone else think the ref was awful?

The Doidge one was mental. Could be wrong, but I think the ref pointed to his earpiece and mouthed 'accidental' when our players were asking about it. Again, could be totally wrong with that. But for me it's a red card never mind a yellow. If a knee to the skull isn't deemed dangerous play I'm not sure what is.

Card happy but seen a lot worse already this season. Haven’t seen the Doidge one back but was happy to accept it at the time. It was definitely inconsistent that Boyle picked up a yellow later though.

I thought it was a red card all day long as well tbh though not to give even a yellow for it was crazy imo . We could be looking at Doidge having a serious injury like a fractured cheek bone or maybe worse . I do wonder if Clancy's error in there last game maybe effected the decision on it .

He’s up there with Napier as one of the worst. Absolutely clueless and there was no consistency for either team throughout the game. How these guys get to this level is crazy

Inability to play advantage or keep the game moving with quick free kicks does my nut in. Dickinson was useless

The Lewis Miller booking - throughout my youth and early adulthood, that was always lauded as the way to tackle - flat out, play the ball first, hard but fair. Last season, tackles like that were getting red cards - considered "reckless" or "excessive force" - which I couldn't understand, I just thought they were good tackles where the tacklers momentum took them into their opponent. This week it's a yellow, apparently. . For me, it should have been play on, but I'm glad it wasn't a red.
The knee to Doidge's head - again, last season, high feet were red cards - okay, it was knee, not foot, but same context. Some, like the Killie player against us, I thought were harsh, and thought maybe high should be a free and high, but actually making contact, should be yellow. Save red for contact with no chance/attempt to play the ball. This week it's not even a yellow.
Overall, very inconsistent IMHO. Free kicks/ yellows, for minimal things (Boyle's foot was around waist height?), but lots of other "fouls" not given. Didn't think he favoured either side though.
My biggest issue was that pitch. Don't remember it being quite so bad before? It seemed to be really slow, with players trying to run with the ball getting it caught under their feet.

Yes, I was thinking the same at the game, and was thinking VAR might have asked the ref to look at it again. In such cases, they quite often point out the the aggressor was out of control in his tackling, but in Miller's defence that wasn't the case yesterday. IMO not even a yellow.
Was too far away to comment on the Doidge assault, but I couldn't understand how Boyle got booked when I don't even think his boot made contact with the defenders head. Could be wrong, I was also thinking he was pulling out of the challenge.
The one that frustrates me was the assault on Youan. No attempt to play the ball, was reckless, was only done to prevent a goal scoring opportunity and could result in a player being out for a few games, yet only a yellow. Yet, Holt got sent off against us at Easter Road, for a challenge that was nowhere near being as reckless as the Youan one.

I'd thought about mentioning it yesterday but felt it was just Groundhog Day with him. How many times did he stop us taking quick throw ins or similar? Stopped Lewy several times but then doesn't pull up Watkins for persistently not retreating free kicks or from impeding Marshall?
He honestly was better at selling antiques and topping up his sun tan. Poor referee every time he officiates us

Even in the modern game the Lewis Miller challenge is never, ever a free kick, never mind a yellow card. The Killie player has went in just as keen as Miller and it’s just a good tackle.
The booking for Boyle was even worse. He actually pulled his leg out and the Killie player rolled about using his head which was nowhere near getting hit. Referee was about 5 yards away.
