I find it incredible that in a country that is actually rich due to it's natural resources, Dams could be so badly maintained that they collapse and cause the deaths of thousands of people.
Yet that is now looking like the most likely reason why this was allowed to happen in Libya.

At the last count, there were already 5,000 confirmed deaths, expecting to raise to over 10,000. This is just so tragic.
