However, now he's in place, I'd love to see some of the stuff which was getting people excited about his possible appointment.

The difference in the managers were evident on the video I thought. Monty was calm and collective and other was win at all costs putting pressure onto his players from the start.

The interviewer annoyed me at first, but as it went on, I thought his questions were intelligent and well aimed. He's clearly a huge NM fan but he wasn't sycophantic or fawning.

It's definitely worth another listen.

Everything I’ve read or heard about NM suggests to me that he gets and understands people. I felt LJ and even Maloney before him tried to hard to come across as intelligent rather than coming across as people who were good man managers that the players could relate to.

I think NM comes across as instantly relatable, someone I could go for a pint with but also someone I’d be scared to disappoint. If I saw LJ or Maloney in the pub I’d look the other way in the hope they wouldn’t see me (if they knew me I don’t doubt the feeling would be mutual).

I think these give a good insight into Monty's man management and motivational skills and I like what I see. He seems to me that's he's the type of manager you'd want to play for and I can see how he'd get the best out of players, Cummings being a prime example.

The sort of thing our game would really benefit from imo as there is such a lack of coverage/behind the scene access

Hope we all get behind him and make him as welcome as we can as a fan base. Like others I have a good feeling about this guy. Think the players will take to him and hopefully their confidence grows and shows on the park.

Scottish football is a prime candidate for that kind of BTS/fly on the wall content too. For what our game lacks in world class quality, it more than makes up for in character, oddities, and all-round entertainment.

The lack of creative content driven by the SPFL directly is just another example of Scottish football’s leadership underselling our game’s unique charm IMO.

I'm not sure many of our managers were into making predictions before games other than to say that we're hopeful of getting a result, but I hope NM is a bit more communicative before future matches. I'm sure he will be.

It's important for Hibs to keep a high profile in the media, but I'm interested to hear the manager's thoughts on the upcoming game and to find out who's fit and how our injured players are faring.
