My laddo was wanting a shirt like the ones the squad are wearing at the moment but the link on the SFA site only goes to JD Sports site with no front or back squad number, name or badges.

Anyone know who sells something that is like the real thing?

I’m in Edinburgh in a couple of months so a shop would be fine.

JD Sports are the only official retailer of the Scotland kits. They should be able to add name/number in store but can definitely do it online and arrange for collection from a shop.

What do the genuine article shirts sell for? I seem to recall they were stunningly expensive, in which case the availability of such budget (and seemingly high quality) knock-offs must significantly dent the sales of the real thing. I'm surprised they're able to trade so openly.

Do they do Hibs shirts, and if so would folk on here buy them? I don't know what the deal is with our official shirts in terms of how much money the club makes on sales but while I'm long past the age of buying football shirts I'd feel uneasy about depriving the club of cash.

They don't do Hibs shirts. If they did I wouldn't buy them from there. However buying my kid an Arsenal or Ajax kit at £10 is something I have no problem with - I just wouldn't be buying them at £60 in any case.

You used to be able to get Hibs shirts on the likes of DH Gate. I got one the season before last. They then advertised last season's kit but none of the sellers could actually fulfil the order. One did claim they sent me it but what actually arrived was a pair of women's crotchless pants (seriously). Serves me right for doing Hibs out of money.

I've been buying foreign teams tops from soccer03 for wearing to the gym as it is actually working out cheaper than buying plain gym tops.

For those asking about sizing... it varies. I bought last season's Bayern away/third top (white and gold) in a XXL. Fits perfectly. I ordered the Scotland top, this season's Bayern white and red effort, the Barcelona home top and a Man Utd home top, all in XXL. So if they were all real that would be 4 Adidas and 1 Nike. All are different fits. The "Adidas" ones all fit differently.

It also depends where you buy. I initially got me and my wife Scotland tops from a seller on DH Gate. I ordered a XXL for me as the previous Scotland top I got from the same seller is a perfect fit in XXL. They sent a XL by accident. I then bought the XXL from Soccer03. Although slightly bigger than the XL from the other seller (and is the difference between being able to wear it and not), the difference is size is definitely not the difference between a XL and XXL.

Used DH Gate for NRL tops previously but with it essentially being a market place the quality can vary massively between sellers. Some of the badges screen printed, some properly embroidered etc.

Never used soccer03 before so interested if anyone has been able to compare the fit and quality to one of the proper Scotland tops? I had one in my basket on JD on the original day of release (with the SSC discount that was doing the rounds) but was trying to use a gift voucher and it didn’t work and ended up missing out.

Yep I’m the same (not with a Scotland top). I ordered 2 tops for the gym at the end of September. Still not arrived. Weirdly, after asking my wife if she wanted any when I was ordering and saying no only to change her mind immediately after me ordering mine, I placed an order for a top for her 10 mins after I ordered my ones and her one arrived a week later.

Can get the yellow and blue stripes away and 150th tops from DHGate.

I got the yellow and blue stripe for less than 20 quid and it was decent:

27470

Got the 86 away and it wasnt so good, wrong shade of yellow.

New ones likely to be better. On the webpages the strips wont have the umbro badge on them but when you get it it will be on the strip. Loads of different suppliers. Made in China so sometimes take a few weeks but some have Europe based warehouses so can arrive in under a week.

Still not had a reply. Emailed and WhatsApp messaged them. Disappointing as it was the one I actually wanted (green Bayern Munich Oktoberfest top) that didn’t arrive.

So I never did get a reply to the email and Whatsapp and when I saw this this thread pop up again this morning, I thought about chasing them again. Lo and behold, I've just received an email from what I assume to be them (different email address to the one on their website but '03' in it) saying they've processed a refund. It doesn't say what for but it is for the amount of the top that didn't arrive.

Since you've asked me specific questions though, I'll answer them;

I only buy footwear that's made in Europe, my last pair of Adidas were made in Germany. I've never bought Nike.
I never have and never will shop in Primark.
Yes, I only buy fairtrade organic bananas and chocolate.
I've never eaten Macdonalds and if I had kids I'd never feed them that slop.

I've never bought fake anything in my life, it's just how I am I guess.

I don’t think anyone said they found it hilarious? I’m more just very surprised I’ve met (albeit virtually) one of the tiny amount of people in western society that haven’t ever eaten McDonalds.

I don’t think anyone said the poster wasn’t allowed to do what they please either. You seem to have taken offence on their behalf at folk being surprised that someone has managed to avoid McDonalds, non fair trade/organic chocolate/bananas, all adidas products that aren’t made in Germany, any clothing by other brands that are made in sweatshop's.

It’s commendable. Sounds like it would be almost all consuming though but each to their own.

I went to McDonalds once and also Burger King once. Absolute crap! Never again! I love a burger and find that the premises that make their own and don't buy ready made (pubs, cafes, restaurants etc.) offer much a much better alternative.

Got a link for the sauzee shirt? Is it any good?

https://www.soccer03.store/France-Home-Retro-Jersey-1990-p622542.html

I got Sauzee 8 on it as I found a picture of him online wearing it with number 8 but I’ve also since seen pictures of him with it with number 5 - including this one against Scotland! https://images.app.goo.gl/4kfFPBpPFmZdnnYJ9. From comparing the pictures online, it looks like a very good fake and quality wise it feels pretty well made although I suppose the proof will be once it’s been washed.

Name and number wise, from the very limited pictures I’ve seen online, the number appears to be pretty much bang on in style with what was used on the strips back then. Not sure they actually had names on them though so that would make it a bit less ‘authentic’ so to speak.

I’ve bought a Marseille top previously off that site with Sauzee on it as well along with numerous other retro tops.

Only word of ‘warning’ so to speak is that I ordered the tops and received no confirmation email. They just turned up nearly a month later and they ignored all my messages requesting updates. Not sure if that’s par for the course.

My work supplies some PPE to non hospital facilities. During lockdown a lot of our regular suppliers were put into protected supply chain pathways so we couldn't get anything from them and had to look further afield. A contact of a contact put me in touch with a guy in Singapore who owned factories in Thailand and Vietnam.

He was able to secure us a few bulk shipments of PPE and we got on pretty well. Anyway he asked me if I would be interested in an 'off the record arrangement' importing some clothes from a company that could be mistaken for South Head. Being an honest sort I of course declined but asked him what the set up was and how close to legit it was. He said the clothes were 'unofficial' and 'replica' but made in his factories by the same workers who made the gear for 'South Head'. He was quite happy to turn a blind eye as it was a little side line for his workers and he was happy to make a wee bit on the side himself. He even told me, and I'm not saying this is 100% honest on his part, that in the past they had sent the wrong consignments to 'South Head' before and they had not returned them or queried the quality.

He said that was common across the far east and if you were willing to spend £25 rather than a tenner you would be getting something all but authentic still at a fraction of the price.

As I said I didn't take him up on the offer, no sir, not me sir, so can't comment on the quality of his gear but I bet it was really good........

He said that was common across the far east and if you were willing to spend £25 rather than a tenner you would be getting something all but authentic still at a fraction of the price.

As I said I didn't take him up on the offer, no sir, not me sir, so can't comment on the quality of his gear but I bet it was really good........

I reckon the same happens with a lot of Nike stuff in particular. I get all my baseball jerseys from DHGate now and save circa £100 on each one, quality is outstanding on all of them right down to the name and numbering on the back. Wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out they actually come from a factory that makes the official MLB merchandise

Remember reading this somewhere before. Most of the "unofficial" football shirts are made in the same factory as the real ones are made.

Good luck enforcing that. That’s an interesting law, presumably German tops don’t cost an arm and a leg relative to their wages?

I’m pretty sure that’s going to apply to persons taking suitcase full to stops to sell. I’m confident that my soccer3 top won’t be pulled from me at the airport 😂

High on the list of things that won't happen. Like people telling you back in the day you could get arrested for copying a cd onto tape.

Soccer03 are decent. They’ve got next seasons Liverpool and Man Utd kits on there already before they’ve been released here

What delivery time would they be? Any chance before 14th?

Absolutely no chance, I've been waiting for 4 weeks and they have still not arrived. That is normal timescale.

I made an order on 2nd of May which was delivered on 17th May, so going by those timescales you’d be lucky.

Ordered loads from here in the past. Think I've left it too late for this year's away kit. Ordered it for the girls last week and not heard it's been dispatched yet

12 days for my most recent order for some of the new Scotland tops, placed on 13th May, arrived 25th. Worth a shot but might be a bit longer now if they’re busier

I ordered 3 Scotland away tops on 22nd May and they arrived on 31st May. The quality as you said are excellent. I was surprised how quick they were as the last time I ordered from them it took about 4 weeks.

When did you order? 3rd June when you made your previous post?

I ordered on 31st May and it hasn’t arrived. I got the dispatch email last Thursday but it is still showing that Royal Mail haven’t received the package.

3rd June

Just arrived. Sizing is all over the place. 3XL Scotland home top, barely gets on. Feels more like a large at best, probably bordering medium. 3XL Scotland away top - much better but snug - probably more a XL. Bayern Oktoberfest kit 3XL - more like a 6XL - absolutely drowns me.

For reference I'm probably between a 2XL and 3XL for genuine Hibs tops (and tops in general)

I always order 1 size up from them and that will fit me fine. I'm usually an XL but get a 2XL from them.

I got the Oktoberfest kit as well, in large and sizing is pretty spot on for me. I've ordered 5 football tops and 1 NBA top all in large and they've all been a good fit so far.

Put my suit on this morning and that was a bit tight though...so I'm definitely gonnae be an XL soon.
