Brilliant article. Hopefully we can attract more support from the Emerald Isle in the years to come.

Good article but anyone else think it was going to be something sordid from Robbie Nielson’s journal?

Reminded me of, should it be needed, the reasons why I love this club and always will.

Thank you for posting, Donegal Hibby.

Nice one DH

When i as younger ,i mind Celtic would often go on Summer tours to Ireland .We did on ocassion too.
Celtic now prefer to hold our league up and go to the Far East tourneys for big bucks and sell loads of kit !!
Maybe Hibs could be forming more relationships with clubs in Ireland.
Our bonding with our founders home town Ballingarry was very special.
Our St Patricks Branch did a wonderful job in that respect with the presentation of the clubs harp mosaic at Ballingarry in Limerick.

Ireland would be ideal pre season camp/ friendly/ warm up games.
And for many Hibby's to make the trek to the Holy Ground and spread the gospel over a pint of Guinness !
If not for our 1st team squad maybe the development teams .

If you know your history !!

If you know your history !!Our women`s team did a pre season camp in Cork so that was a start . Have had a couple of players loaned out to Dundalk recently too .

I think it would be really good if we started playing over in Ireland more regularly and started helping out the league of Ireland teams.

Agreed.

We've had some pre-season friendlies over there but not really all that often.

Absolutely mate same with the Welsh and lower English teams. We should all help each other out as much as we can. I love the challenge cup set up with Welsh and teams from the north of Ireland competing in it.

Would love to set up a tournament up with the all teams in our league bar the ugly 2 and teams from lower England, Ireland and Wales.
