Danny Drinkwater - let's get some much needed title winning hydration into this club.

A lot of the names probably out of our of budget.

I reckon Freeman would walk up it here, also likely to be out of reach, but he'd be exactly what I think we need in the middle - creative, can score & assist.

Unless Snodgrass' legs have completely gone, wouldn't be averse to seeing him come in short term. Was he dog**** at Hearts?

Didn't follow him too closely, but was he not considered god's gift for like his first handful of games and then his performances seemed to fall off dramatically?

Apparently a very bad influence in the dressing room. Thought he was the big man all the time hence why he fell out with Naismith, was dropped and left the club early

There's an decent opportunity for revenge here, where Montgomery calls up Snodgrass to see if he wants to come to Hibs, earn a fortune for a bit part role on the pitch alongside a coaching role then turns around and tells him to go and get ****ed...

Who would ever think that kind of prank was funny? Can see why the puddle drinkers binned him. Hopefully Montgomery if he gets our job takes his revenge.

The centre half Jack Fitzwater left livi at the end of the season, still without a club. Didn’t have a great season just past, but the one before he was very good.

If we're still looking for extra support at left back I wonder if someone like Lewis Trapp (ex Morton, only 23 but racked up 150 appearances already for them) could be an option? He's coming back from a knee injury but turned down a new contract, so I wonder if something like a 1 year deal with the option of 1 or 2 more if he was to play a certain number of games to see if he's over the injury and of the sufficient quality needed to maybe step into left back for us?

Only a publication of The Sun’s quality could label Rogic as both 30 and 31 years of age in the same bloody article.

Rogic if that’s doable for us would be superb.
At 30 maybe we would be an ideal project for him as well.
Is fitness an issue for rogic, always looked sauzee esk to me on the ball and dead ball ability.

I read an interview with Troy deeney. He was saying he knows loads of pros that are without clubs (longterm) because they don't want to take a drop in wage or play in a lesser league

Seems a lot of egos at play

Theres a fine, sometimes blurry line between knowing what you're worth and refusing to be underpaid and being deluded when it comes to the level you are at

With some of these guys though they'll have made enough money earlier in their careers to be in a position to pick and choose whether or not they can be bothered putting in the required work to earn the new, lower wage.

If you have to be persuaded that much to play football, you do wonder about their commitement. I love it when you see former top players dropping down the leagues to get game time in their final years, just because they love playing. You are a long time retired as a player !

Saw him play league 2 for FGR against AFC wimbledon a couple of weeks ago.

Hugely unfit, but completely changed the game when he came on. Was levels above everyone else on the pitch.
