I think he would be a great manager, and would surely get our defence sorted out, definitely not Lennon, short memories some people have

neil lennons hibs was in recent memory for me the most exciting time, looked forward to the game always kept on your toes, last few managers have been boring to a point its not enjoyable going to the games anymore.

People forgotten how bad we were at the end of his stint at Easter road, something like 16 or 18 games without a win, a big no no for me

16 or 18 games without a win? Are you sure about that?

I'd take him but it seems he left Sheff Wed causs he couldn't agree on a new contract. Leads me to believe he'd might be out of our price range even if the budget was upped

Insisting on SPFL experience really limits options

Where have you pulled that stat from? :faf:

We won his 2nd last game, 4-0 at home to Elgin in the cup.

His last 16 games - we won 4 (including beating Celtc), drew 6 (including home and away v Rangers, and at Tynecastle), lost 6.

Things weren't going well by any means, but nowhere near as bad as you've tried to make out.

This. Thrown under the bus in the Kamberi fiasco and unbacked in the transfer market when we lost the midfield. The season we finished fourth we only lost 7 games in the league, we’re almost halfway there already.

I’m not sure that turning the clock back for Lennon would work but I think that much of his downfall was to do with internal strife within the club at the time, some of which was of his own doing. Mind you, I wouldn’t be surprised if the same level of discontent still exists in the club. What we need is a thorough purge from top to bottom.

I think dealing with Kamberi would make a saint swear and I believe NL did not feel supported by the club in dealing with that weasel, not a surprise that things went south after that

I know this is about Darren more, but since Lennon has been mentioned again, I think people need to remember Lennon basically got no backing from the board in terms of finance, he had our best players ripped from under his feet whilst trying to rebuild with no
Money.

So it’s all down to where they were born? Gives us a very limited pool to choose from.

Could care where they were from if they do the business (and being scottish won’t guarantee that)

I’d take Darren Moore (doubt he’d come here though)….Wish NL would stop being brought into every thread.

He won't have any money to spend now.

Like Mowbray and stubbs? Played here but no managerial experience.

If you ask Alexa "define unconvincing" she says the words "Darren Moore" over and over

Sheff Wed had a seemingly unassailable position top of their league last spring, then went on a disastrous run (at show time) that saw them drop off top spot, then drop out the automatic promotion positions altogether, lose 4-0 in their first leg play off, almost throw it away in the second leg, and they had the good fortune to play for almost 100 minutes vs 10 men in the play off final, should have still lost (arguably) and won it with the last kick of the game.

All with a larger budget than the teams around them

I'm not on board

Twice in a blue moon, then.

Actually, I think we've only ever employed 4 people who hadn't been first team managers before, those two plus Sauzee and Maloney.

If that's correct, it's a 50% success rate.

Agreed he's not for me either, built such an aging slow squad. I wasn't a fan of their style of football.

Aye undefeated against the vermin in 11 games. Unbeaten at home against Celtic and won more times against Rangers than Alex Miller did in a decade.
Lennon is a winner and had us playing our best football since Mowbray and McLeish.

What did you think of Sheffield Wednesday under Moore?Record points total
Record wins in a row
Only pipped by two very good sides due to injuries to key players right at the crucial point of the run in
Promotion via playoffs after getting pumped in first leg

Rate him highly... but no way he comes to Hibs and I'm not wanting him here either. I want someone who knows our league and can be successful in our budget. That's McInnes.

Neither is narrowing the market massively by insisting on someone with experience of Scottish football. A total nonsense in my opinion.

Mine too. It’s become something of a cliche.
