So we’ve heard the stories of a lot of the players not having a great relationship with Lee Johnson. Some suggesting that maybe the players weren’t giving their all for the manager.

Fair enough, sometimes players and managers don’t get along, but here’s maybe a novel idea. If you’re not keen on the manager, how about playing for the fans instead? The people that ultimately pay your wages and turn up week in week out and travel all over to watch you play?

When you don’t play for the manager it’s not really the manager you’re hurting.

Lee Johnson has to shoulder a lot of the blame for some of our dire showings, but a lot of the players who pick and choose when to be up for games shouldn’t be escaping criticism.

Not sure that works tbh.

We have players that a majority of our fanbase turn a blind eye to them making consistent mistakes costing us goals and not turning up in the games that matter.

If those players are playing for the fans and making the same mistakes week in week out season after season but are still supported, then what?

We need a manager that has the gravitas and persona to stand by his guns and move them on.

I reckon McInnes is that man.
