Sadly they will still have the same manager in charge (and so will we) and this is where the biggest gulf in class is. For all the chat about how much better the players are, the core of their squad is pretty much the same as the one struggling last year when managed by Gerrard and transformed under Emery.

Honestly don't think you can pin alot of the blame on the players. When you work for a boss that is constantly changing things and doesn't seem to know what they are doing, whilst you still give your all you tend to lose that all important edge and mistakes creep in. Add in the tendency of the boss to engage in public criticism then it's frankly a recipe for disaster. I have worked in this type of environment and it's horrendous for your confidence and general well being.
