What are people doing and what are options?

Obviously train strikes on the 1st.

Considering driving but quite a long journey there and back for one!

Train down. Few mates hiring a car on way back.

I’m flying Birmingham to Belfast, then Belfast to Edinburgh. Was relatively cheap but an early start on the Friday

Almost certainly will be but get the Hibs tunes on and the windows open, could turn into the world's biggest stationary party 😅

If you're not up for driving there and back, taking the train down is your best option, though would expect services to Birmingham to be busier than usual.

As for return journey maybe fly back, though this close, flying would be very expensive and you'll not be able to go direct to Edinburgh.

Could always try the coach back, though it's 9+ hours.

My group are hiring a car from Enterprise one-way to drive back to Edinburgh on the Friday.

Driving up from the West Country on Thursday afternoon.

Soak up some atmosphere, head to the game, drive back.

Should only be a couple of hours each way.

No sure what the company was but it’s worked out at 60 notes a head to get back. Not too bad. I’ll try and find out and drop you a message 👍🏻

Megabus does an overnighter from central Birmingham. Not the best, but Mrs theHibby has done it a few times.

There's also National Express.

Neither are as good as the train, but needs must and all that.

Flying Glasgow to Birmingham on the 10.45 Easyjet on Thursday
Birmingham to Glasgow 8.45 on Friday for the return. That could be fun.

On the 6.30 Megabus to Glasgow, time for a coffee and a roll in Glasgow then the Airport Express to the airport, through security and hopefully first pint sunk by about 9.30.

Along with what seems like hundreds of other Hibbies I'm in the Travelodge Central in Broad Street. Think the O'Neills next door might see a busy night.

National Express is not bad at all

Get the 21:10 from Edinburgh arriving in Birmingham at 06.20

22:55 back up the road on the Thursday arriving at 08:05am

£55 return

Not ideal but times means you can sleep on the bus and still get there with no additional hotel expenses

Trying to weigh up all possible options for travel. This train strike proving to be a nightmare

Yeah loads already going to O’Neills.

Hibs suggesting the Arcadian Centre to gather but think a lot already decided on O’Neills. That’s where we’re going anyway.

Just been reading about a 'technical issue' at National Air Traffic Services, causes massive numbers of delays and flight cancellations.

Hopefully this is resolved in time for Wednesday, for anybody flying down to Birmingham.

folks at NATS will be working to get the issue resolved, and will likely resolve it today, don't think it'll have any effect on Services on Wednesday

Traffic on way back was terrible till just north of Manchester then it was a breeze. Home by 4pm on Friday.

Too ****** to even consider the sheep match.

I wonder if the echo of our fans can still be heard in AV stadium.
